For Moses had said, "If you aren't going with us, don't let us move a step from this place. If you don't go with us, who will ever know that I and my people have found favor with you, and that we are different from any other people upon the face of the earth?" Exodus 33:15-16 The Living Bible
Good Morning Girlfriends:
Vacation time is here once again, with a destination already in the plans, all we have to left is to get packing for the camping trip. Checking off each item as it is added to the bags, food, drinks, snacks, flashlights, bedding, air mattresses, two tents, the camp stove and cooking grill, stuffed animals, toys and games, folding camp chairs bug spray, clothes line, water wings, floaty tubes, and of course we can't forget the marshmallows. Extra food was set out for the cat with a friend checking in every day, everything was all set for our departure.
We set out for the five and a half hour drive until we reached our destination of camping at P.E.I. at one of their campgrounds that was down the road from one of their famous fun parks. Getting things unpacked from the van as the tents were all set up, the girls sat in their little lawn chairs reading their books till the cue was given that everything was done. We headed down to the pool for a quick swim before it was time to have something to eat, we were a pretty organized group.
Being a very new Christian at that particular time, as I stop and think about it now, did I even take my Bible with me or did I even ask Jesus to come along with us so that we would have a safe journey.
Moses was on a journey when he was leading the Israelites to the "Promised Land," he knew his destination but he wanted to make sure that he was going to be leading the people in the right direction. Moses was very adamant when he talked to the Lord in Exodus 33:12-17, Moses talked there with the Lord and said to Him, "You have been telling me, 'Take these people to the Promised Land,' but you haven't told me whom you will send with me. You say you are my friend, and that I found favor before you; please, if this is really so, guide me clearly along the way you want me to travel so that I will understand you and walk acceptably before you. For don't forget this nation is your people." And the Lord replied, "I myself will go with you and give you success." For Moses had said, "If you aren't going with us, don't let us move a step from this place. If you don't go with us, who will ever know that I and my people have found favor with you, and that we are different from any other people upon the face of the earth?" And the Lord replied to Moses, "Yes I will do what you have asked, for you have certainly found favor with me, and you are my friend."
Girlfriends, that is how each of us should be with God, that we don't want to do anything or go anywhere unless that we know the Lord is okay with it, that He is going with us. We want to have such a close relationship with Him that we want to please Him in everything that we do, and when we know that He is with us on a certain journey in life, that we will know that we will be lead in the right direction. A lot of the time, we may forget to invite Him to come along with us or ask Him what He thinks about certain plans we are making. He won't push Himself on us, He's a gentleman, so we have to ask Him to come into our day, or to come with us on the car drive or that flight we may be planning on taking.
The first thing I like to do each morning is say, "Good morning Lord, thank you for another day," it is just as one would say to their husband each morning. As I am preparing for my day, I ask the "Holy Ghost" to come into my day with me, to lead me and guide me, to talk to me and download new revelations to me." I, like Moses, want Jesus in my day, going places with me, communicating with me as we commune together. We need to know that we are being led by the Lord, then we will know that we are being led in the right direction, because the Lord would never steer us in the wrong direction. (Psalm 18:30, Isaiah 55:8-9, Numb. 23:19, Jeremiah 29:11,Isaiah 41:10, Deut. 32:4, Prov. 3:5-7)
Girlfriends, when we truly seek the Lord, He will lead us in the right way that we should go, Prov. 32:8, Isaiah 30:21, Psalm 119:105, John 14:26, and Prov. 16:9 reminds us that we make our plans each day, but it is the Lord who establishes our footsteps. We have to be willing and wanting to seek the Lord, to talk with Him each day and wait for His reply to some of our many questions. As you are driving to work, or shopping, talk to Him as though He were sitting right beside you just as your best friend would be at times, Jesus wants to be our best friend, our closest and dearest friend.
The Lord told Moses that he was His friend in Exodus 33:17, it certainly can be the same way for us, as we sit and talk to Him and listen to Him when He speaks, as we get into His word, He becomes dearer to our hearts, and that is the way it is as you get to know someone on a closer level. So the next time you are taking a drive, or just waking up for the day, don't forget to ask Jesus to come into your day with you, so the two of you can get to know each other and have all kinds of deep conversations, He is the best friend you will ever have, I guarantee it, Amen?
Let's Pray,
Precious Jesus, I thank You Lord for coming into my day and leading me along the way. Lord, You are the best friend a girl could ever have and I thank You for always being there for me. Lord, I pray that as each person here today, opens up Your holy and living word, that they too will experience you in a whole new way that never thought was possible. Lord, I'm asking that You would speak to them in a new way that they have never heard before. I pray that each person leans in closer to hear what You would have to say to them. Lord, I speak blessings, health and prosperity over each of them today, in the Mighty name of Jesus. Bless them Lord, bless them in Jesus name, Amen.
Be blessed, and pass the blessings on. Don't forget that Jesus loves you and He always will. Thank you in advance for passing this message on. Be blessed today and every day.
