For the Holy Spirit, God's gift, does not want you to be afraid of people, but to be wise and strong, and to love them and enjoy being with them. 2 Timothy 1:7 The Living Bible
Good Morning Girlfriends:
As I was growing up, I remember sitting and watching war documentaries and war movies with my dad and I remember watching the commanders, the men who were the head of their platoons, standing around a table. The paper was rolled out across the table as they were discussing and pinning out the locations of their enemy. They had to be aware of, where each of the enemy posts were, so they could devise a plan in order to make their attack and be victorious whether they took them out or took them hostage.
In a dream that I had, I was in some kind of war, a fight, and I remember laying on top of what looked to be a pile of bodies that the enemy had taken down. As I laid on top, I was watching the guard that was on duty in the high tower, marching back and forth as he was on watch in case of any enemy attack that might come in against them. I heard a voice in my right ear say, take him down. Then in another dream, I along with two other people had been put in an old mud cellar basement, as I stood at the bottom of the stairs looking up at the door, I heard the door being locked as the footsteps moved further away, but still close enough that I could hear other voices talking. The other two people that were in the cellar with me, had found a big wooden door at the other side and said, "Here's a way out." I remember hearing myself say in the dream, "Don't open that door, it's a trap, if we go out there they will kill us." Then off to my right there was a door that was opened up in the mud wall, and a light was shining down the mud hallway that was leading us to safety.
Girlfriends, it is so important to know, and to hear the voice of God when He speaks. If we follow His instructions, He will bring us to safety. (2 Tim. 4:17-18, Lev. 25:18, Prov. 1:33) We as Christians, know that the enemy is real, we also know as true followers of Jesus Christ that 1 Peter 5:8 tells us to be alert and of a sober mind, that the enemy roams around like a lion looking for someone to devour. We need to be aware of his tactics and how he would like to trip us up from having a victorious life, so let me share with you four tactics to launch on the devil as a counter attack.
Tactic #1 He Instills Fear, this is his primary weapon. If he can keep us living in fear, then he knows we won't be able to move ahead in whatever our plan is. 2 Tim. 1:7 says that God has not given us a spirit of fear. Fear is the biggest thing that could hold us back from receiving a healing for our body, taking a new job that was offered, beginning a new relationship or even getting out of that abusive one. The devil will challenge God's promises just like he did with Peter as he began to sank in the water after Jesus had called him to step out of the boat, Peter had to call out to Jesus, and Jesus lifted him back up out of the water. We have to meditate on the word of God so that we can speak it out back towards the devil in order to quench those fiery darts he sends our way. "No weapon formed against me shall prosper," is written in Isaiah 54:17.
Tactic # 2 The Enemy Lies To You, John 8:44 says that he is the father of all lies, he puts negative thoughts in our head. The enemy knows our insecurities, John 10:10 says, "He comes to rob, kill and destroy. He may speak lies that, you are not good enough for that job, you are not pretty enough for that position, who would want you, you've been married too many times or you didn't get that healing the other night. 2 Cor. 10:5 says that we are to take those thoughts captive, don't think on those negative thoughts. We have to know who we are in Christ, what His word says about us, then we will know when those whispers are from him. We can counter attack with 2 Cor. 2:16 it is written I have the mind of Christ, so shut up devil, you are a liar (John 8:44), You are defeated (Rev. 20:10) and you are under my feet.
Tactic #3 The Enemy Tempts You To Sin and James 3:13 that God will never tempt us to do anything wrong. James 4:7 tells us to commit ourselves to God, resist the devil and he will flee. The devil tempted Jesus in the wilderness in Matthew 4:1-11, trying to take Him off the path, off course from obeying God and what He had sent Jesus to accomplish. We have to recognize that there is a way out and that is by knowing the word of God to come back at the devil with "It is written!" Jesus told the devil "Thou shall not tempt the Lord thy God."
Strategy #4 The Enemy Stirs Up Pride that will lead to conflict, Prov. 13:10. Satan was thrown out of heaven because he thought that he was better than God, he wanted to be God, Luke 10:18. Satan knows that pride is the path to destruction. That is why we are to stay humble before the Lord as it says in 1 Peter 5:5-6, we are to submit ourselves to God and His word. We are no better than other people, but we are no less than either. We as Christians are to be be grateful for everything, for it all comes from God Himself, not from our own doing. We are not to judge other people Matt. 7:1-5, and we are to always keep our own heart in check, making sure that we are living right according to God's commandments.
Let's remember these principals and apply them to our daily lives, so that we will always be prepared to fight a good fight and win victoriously in every battle.
Let's Pray,
Father God, I Thank You for Your word, that it teaches us how to fight against the enemy. Your word give us instructions to counter attack the devil so the he can be put in his place. For every time he has kept someone in fear who is represented here today, I say that It is written that the Lord has given us a spirit of love and a sound mind, and I break off that spirit of fear in Jesus name. For every lie that he has spoken to that one here today, devil you are a liar, you are defeated and you under our feet in Jesus name. For every time that the devil has tried to tempt that dear one with something we say together that we resist you in Jesus name and the blood of Jesus is over us. For every time the devil tries to get us to think that we are better than someone else, we say that it is written that as we stay humble before the Lord, it is He and only He who will raise us up in due season, and we pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Be blessed sweet ones and pass the blessings on as you pass this message along to others who may be in need. Thank you in advance.
