The Changing Of The Guards

So Jesse sent for him. He was a fine looking boy, ruddy-faced, and with pleasant eyes. And the Lord said, "This is the one; anoint him." 1 Samuel 16:12 The Living Bible

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Just as I looked out the window this morning, the wind had picked up with a enormous gust of power, in which the trees across the road swayed and bent causing such a sound as though a big truck was coming down the road. I thought to myself, as a friend of mine had just texted, things are sure changing with such a swiftness. I texted my friend back with a response "It's like the changing of the Guards," so to say.

Hearing about the 'changing of the guards many years ago, I wanted to know what exactly it had meant, so I looked it up in which this is what the definition that was given..."Any situation in which an individual or group charged with a task or responsibilities in an organization is replaced by another individual or group." Then another example said it this way, "A ceremony during which the soldiers or other officials guarding a major government building or state residence, especially Buckingham Palace in England, are replaced by a new shift."

Another way it was referred to a situation in which there is a dramatic or big change, and a "changing of the guard" is basically a time in which new people are replacing other people in positions of importance. Not only does this take place with the guards at Buckingham Palace on certain days and months, but we are seeing a lot of changes taking place right here in our very own countries, things are being shifted and moved around, and for the good.

Girlfriends, this reminded me of the accounts that took place in 1 Sam. 15, 16, when had to replace King Saul because he had decided to take matters into his own hands, run things the way he wanted to instead of listening and obeying the ways of the Lord. This had upset the Lord, and Saul had even went as far as erecting a monument to himself. As sad as it truly is, this is what has happened in our own countries with people who sit in high places, even God's men and women who have been standing behind a pulpit.

There has been a great shift that has been taken place in many things we have been seeing change, in our governments, our school system, very well known ministers on social media. Just as there was a changing of the guards when God's spirit had left King Saul, God had Samuel go to Jesse's house to anoint one of his son's which was David. It was said that immediately the spirit of the Lord was with David.

There has been so many underhanded things taking place, that the Lord has said "that is enough," so to say, and now we are seeing a definite change taking place. There always comes a time when God draws a line in the sand and makes a change in the way things are going, just as He did with Saul. He saw that Saul was not going to listen and be led by God, so God had to make a change by choosing David to be the next king, God saw that David had a good heart as He spoke in 1 Sam. 16:7.

It was said, that David was a man after God's own heart, which was spoken in 1 Sam. 13:14. God is looking for a man or woman that has a heart for God, and is wanting to further the kingdom of God, not further his or her own kingdom or own agenda. This is the reason many things are being exposed right in front of us, not that these people in high places have not had time to repent and turn from their ways, because they most certainly have had time, but when God says "your time is up," that's all there is to it and He means it.

These are serious times, in which it is time to stop playing games with people and with the Lord. We as His people need to get things worked out in our own personal lives, and repent and allow God to do the work within that needs to be done. We need to be ready to be able to move ahead with whatever it is that God is calling us to do, we need to be cleaned up, healed up and ready to go and advance the kingdom.

Let's keep our eyes and ears open to what the Lord is saying and what He is doing in the earth. I believe there will be many great changes taking place, and not only as the weather changes, changes will be taking place in those high ranking places, so we will then see and know there has been a "Changing of the Guards," Amen.

Father God, I thank you for this refreshing, windy day that is before us. Lord, let the fresh wind of your spirit continue to blow in our lives as you make all the changes that are necessary in each and every one of us. Lord, I thank you for all of the changes that are taking place, in each of our own lives, in the world as we see it. Lord, you know everything that needs to be done and it will be done for it is you who will see to it. Lord, I thank you for taking every person out of those high places, and replacing those places with the right people. You are removing the Saul's, and putting in the David's to do the work of the Lord. Lord, I speak blessings over your people, and I pray for the people who are being taken out of those high places, repent and call upon the name of the Lord, in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
