Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20 ESV

Good Morning Girlfriends:

There are many crazy commercials out there, "The Clapper" was one. It may have come out in the 80"s or 90"s, where the person would climb into bed and clap their hands, then the lights would come on, clap their hands again and the lights would go off, can you imagine that.

When my daughter and I moved to another province years ago, we were welcomed into the community with a card in the mail, a pair of snowflake earings and kind words to say "welcome." A little time had went by before I had met this lady face to face, we began to talk small talk at first, then she had invited me to her house for coffee and a visit, which I usually called it "back door coffee," because I usually went around the house to the back door that led to the kitchen. After many visits to her house for coffee, we became very close friends as we share some deep, personal things from our lives, our friendship continued to grow.

Remembering back to when I re-dedicated my heart to the Lord, my relationship grew rapidly with Him, as I spent time reading His word, listening to Christian worship music was a constant thing at my house, in my car as I was injesting God's word into my spirit, I began to know who He is and who He was becoming to me in a much deeper way. After many years of spending special time with God alone, He has become my best friend, the one I can go to for everything and anything, the one who will let me down or will never fail me.

Girlfriends, I love how it says it in the Living Bible, Rev. 3:20, "Look! I have been standing at the door and I am constantly knocking. If anyone hears me calling him and opens the door, I will come in and fellowship with him and he with me." It's just like when my friend had invited me to her house for coffee, I had to knock on the door before she had let me in, then we would sit and talk about everything. Jesus would love to have a relationship with you, He is the one who created relationships with people, when He said in Genesis 2:18, "It isn't good for man to be alone; I will make a companion for him, a helper for his needs." He wants to come in and visit with you, to be your closest friend, your heavenly Father, whatever you need Him to be. Jesus does not want a relationship with us that we just clap Him on and clap Him off again, He wants true, close passionate relationship with us, one that we spend each day with Him, talking to Him, listening to what He says as we read His word a little closer, deeper until we begin to know the true heart of the Father, which a deeper love then we can ever experience here on this earth with any man or woman, It's a love like no other love that can be explained, it's called "unconditional love."

Girlfriends, Jesus has been standing at the door knocking, so He can come in and make Himself known to you in a closer way, a deeper way. Won't you let Him in and let Him become your best friend that you will ever experience.

Let's Pray,

Precious Jesus, I thank you dear Lord that you are all about relationship, and not just any relationship but one that comes with such a deepness that we can only experience with you. Lord I lift up each dear person to you that has never had this experience with you before, Lord I pray that they would open the door to you, and as they read Your word, they will get to know you in a personal way as they learn about the great compassionate love you truly have for each of them. Lord I pray that your presence would fill the room they are in right now, as you make yourself so real to them in a way that they have never experienced before. Lord I declare that you will become a new best friend to many here today, because this is the day for new beginnings, as it starts right here, right now in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Be blessed and pass the blessings on. You will never regret receiving your new best friend into your life as you will begin to share Him with others that you meet.
