The Great Turn Around

They turn around and around by His guidance, to accomplish all that He commands them on the face of the habitable world. Whether for correction or for His land or for love, He causes it to happen. Job 37:12-13 ESV

Good Morning Girlfriends:

After living away for three years, God had opened the door for me to move back to my home that sat vacant on the land in which I owned, and what a good feeling it was to be back home. Boxes of things had been piled in every corner of every room just to get the vehicle unloaded, then the real fun would begin as I would have to move things around to make sure there was going to be a spot for everything.

After living back home for about a year, I decided to change things around in the living room to see if I could make things fit a little better as well as give it a different look. A friend of mine had come for a visit one evening and this is when I came up with this big brain wave, so asked if I could use her assistance for this big turn around. We stood back to get a better look at the situation, we came up with several scenarios, that didn't work so well, but with one last attempt, we were able to move things around in order to make it all work.

After moving the furniture around, I decided to go through some of the smaller things I had sitting around to see whether those things would stay or go, it is hard to keep everything looking organized when one is working with a smaller space. Finding some little wicker baskets, I was able to fill them with some of my favorite books about marriage, health, and different Bibles that I have. Everything had come together, bringing all the beautiful pink chairs I have with the grey sofa and not to mention all of the sparkle accents.

Girlfriends, as I was remembering back to many years ago when I had first rededicated my life back to the Lord, as I began my new walk with Him, I realized that there were other things that were going to have to be weeded out of my life as well. Remember that saying, "If you want a change in your life, you have to make a change in your life," well that is when I through out all of my secular music and replaced it with music that edified the Lord, I had some Stephen King horror books that I knew had to go, and any movies that might not have been the best to watch, it's called making a "Clean Sweep" of things.

Drugs had never been a part of my life, but I knew that the partying was gone and so was smoking, those parts of my old life would not be a part of my new life, because I was making room for change. Not only was I cleaning things out of my life physically but I was making a spiritual change as well, the more I read my Bible, going back to Church to hear the word of God preached, listening to new worship music that edified the Lord. As I made these changes, over time I could see that I was becoming a brand new person, in the way I lived, the way that I acted, in the way I spoke, and in the way I was raising my children. I had not only made a change in my life for the better, but I was making a change for the better of my children. Friends and family could see a difference in me as comments were often made, they could see what I stood for and "who" I stood for, as it is the same today.

When we come to a place in our life, and we admit that things are not going so well, that is when we begin to realize that we need to make a change, then that is when we will begin to see things turn around. There some things in our lives that just doesn't fit anymore, there will be some things that will need to go. It is when we admit that we may have a problem with alcohol, drugs or sexual activities, binge eating, gossiping, bad language, making money our God because we think that we don't have enough of it or have enough "stuff." These are some example of things we may have in our lives that when we make the decision to want a change, that is exactly when a turn around will come. It doesn't happen over night mind you, but making the decision to make the first step for a change is the best decision one can make and the rest will come one day at a time.

The woman with the 12 year issue of blood came to my mind, when the doctors had told her there was nothing that they could do for her, after her spending every cent that she had going from doctor to doctor. When she heard that Jesus was coming through the town, she made her way through the crowd with much determination to get close to this Jesus. It was when she was close enough to Him to touch the hem of His garment, it was then that her whole life had turned around, her health, her joy, her body straightened up, she was free of pain and weakness. Matthew 9:22, Jesus spoke to her and said these words, "Take heart, daughter, your faith has made you well." And instantly the woman was made well.

Maybe that is you today, you have exhausted yourself in trying everything you know of how to live life, and it has not been going so good for years and you see now that it is time for a change. I am here to tell you sweet girlfriend, that when Jesus steps on the scene, that is when you will totally see a great turn around take place in your life, in your situation, in the lives of your children and people all around you, it tends to have that ripple effect. Maybe today is the day that you would like to make that decision to make Jesus your Savior over your life. There is nothing that He cannot do, to make a change for those who believe, is that you today, are you looking for a turn around in your life, then today is your day, only believe, Amen?

Father God, I thank You Lord for another glorious day. Lord I praise You with the breath that You have given me. I lift up every sweet individual to You that is reaching out for a turn around to come to their life. Lord, as they open up their heart and ask You to come in to cleanse them and make them whole as they turn their life over to You, I know that the great turn around will begin to take place in their life at this very moment. Lord let them see such a dramatic change that each one will want to share their testimony of the goodness of who You are, so that the ripple effect will take place all over the world, as it always starts with just one. I pray special blessings over each one today in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
