The Price Is Right

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Oh my, who can remember the days of the game show "The Price Is Right," with none other than "Bob Barker" as the host, what a fun filled hour that was. The audience was filled with people who had bought tickets to get on the show, in hopes that their name would be drawn as one of the contestants. "Jonny Olsen" would call the names from the audience to fill the spaces for the first part of the game where they would bid on a prize. The contestant whose bid was closest to the actual price, then went up on stage to play another game as they would guss prices on several other items. Sometimes the contestant would win that next prize and sometimes they didn't. Then "Jonny would call for another contestant to fill the empty spot, and it started all over again with another contestant bidding with the closest price.

This continued on three times, then it was time to spin the "Big Wheel" to see who would be going on to the "Showcase." The one who spun the wheel and it stopped on a number that was the closest to "A Dollar" won that round. It went on all over again with three more contestants who went through each process of games and bidding until three more contestants spun the wheel, then the person who one that spot, would be the second contestant that had earned their spot in what they called "The Showcase." This was the last part of the show where the contestant that had won the largest amount was able to be the first person to bid on the first showcase that was offered or they could pass it on to the other contestant to bid on and they would wait for the nest showcase to be presented. Each contestant would make their bid on their showcase, and the one who had come closest to the actual price, would be the final winner, but if a contestant was within a close amount of the actual price total they would win both showcases.

Girlfriends, I know that was a fun and exciting show to watch, with so much excitement with all the squealing, clapping, jumping up and down, there was so much laughter and happiness in this show, but I'm so glad that there are not so many hoops that we have to jump through, there are not all the steps and the hurdles and the guessing games that has to take place just to receive Jesus. Life is not a game show, life is a very serious show, if you will. We need to know, if anything was to happen to us today, where would we be spending eternity.

The Bible tells us in Romans 5:8, "But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Jesus laid down His very own life for you and for me, while we were still in sin, we weren't living for Jesus. The most exciting part of this whole thing, is that Jesus already paid the price with His own life, it's already done. Another exciting thing about this is, we don't have to buy a ticket and hope that we get our name called so that Jesus can be our Savior. Jesus came to us years ago, He died for us years ago, and He has been calling names for many years, we only have to reach out and receive His invitation to come.

The main scripture that was used today, Paul was talking to the people who were already believers that were in sexual immorality, that their body was bought with a price and they were to keep it clean and holy, as the same is for today.

Jesus has been calling many names for centuries, and today He is calling your name, not to be a contestant but to be a follower of Jesus. It cannot be expressed enough, how much Jesus loves you, let me say that again, Jesus loves so much that He willingly laid His body on that cross for you, the work has already been done for you, now all you have to do is accept the work that He has already done for you and accept His love for you. It is not difficult, there is no big hype to it, Jesus made it very easy for you, only believe.

Let's Pray,

Father God, Oh how I thank You for the work that has already been done on the cross. Lord, I praise You for Your wonderful and unconditional love that You have for each and every one of us. Lord, I am lifting up each precious soul to You today who is saying "Yes" to You. Let's say this prayer together to accept what Jesus has already done. Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God, and that You died on the cross for me. I know that I have sinned and so now I ask You to come in and live inside of me, and wash me with Your blood and make me whole. I want to live for You and I thank You for dying for me, in Jesus name. To the ones who said yes to Jesus today, you have made the most important decision for your life. You are now a child of God, and He is your Lord and Savior. I speak love, blessing and favor over you. You are a dear and precious soul and you are so loved more than you could ever know. Lord, I give You all the glory for each dear soul that said yes to You today, in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
