Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Proverbs 4:6 ESV

Good Morning Girlfriend:

Alexis and Jax woke up at their regular time this morning, as I made my way down the hall to greet them good morning, she greeted me with the words, "I think today's the day." Since they had been staying with me for the last week and a half, to be closer to the hospital, she didn't want to waste time, timing her contractions saying they were five minutes apart. We decided to get ourselves ready, not delaying for what was coming ahead.

I took Jax up the hall to get him dressed for the day, gave him a little breakfast, before making the trip up the highway, in which I knew we would be making very soon. Everything had been prepared for days now, suitcase packed and in the trunk of the car, baby car seat was all buckled in, we were ready to hit the road as soon as the pains began to grow stronger. Jax's daddy was called at work, so it was all falling into placed just like I had been praying and asking God, as daddy met us at the hospital just a short time later.

One never knows on how long one will have to wait before receiving the first bit of information on how everything was progressing. Shortly after arriving at the hospital, my first update was that mommy was 5 cm and progressing right along. Being back home with my sixteen month old grandson, we had many things to do to finish up, as we did a little more rearranging for the new baby brother that would be coming.

The day was passing by so quickly, when the next report was that "mommy was almost ready to deliver, then before we knew it, "Mama" texted me saying that "baby is here." To my surprise, and I'm not sure why it was a surprise because it happened exactly how I had prayed and had asked God. For a few days I had been praying that she would have an easier experience than her first birth, that labor would be smooth, steady and swiftly, and that is exactly the way it had happened, she gave birth to a ten and a half pound baby boy.

Girlfriends, I know that some of you know what I am talking about when it is your very own daughter that is facing a delivery of a baby whether naturally or by section, you do not want them to have to go through the pain that you already knows that comes along with it, you wish that you could take it all away for them. Knowing that we cannot do that physically, but what we can do is hold them up in prayer to make their labor and delivery experience a little bit better than what it normally might be.

When the new mama messaged me, she had let me know that her labor and delivery went quite quickly and she couldn't believe how quick she delivered, and that this delivery was nothing like her first one, I said, "Praise God," because to me that was an answered prayer. This reminds me of Romans 12:12 where it says to rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Galatians 6:9 tells us not to grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. While I was waiting to hear the good news of the baby's birth I was practicing or living out Romans 8:25, where it says but if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. Baby Jax and I kept busy doing things around the house, playing, running errands as we waited for the announcement.

To all of our surprise, one that none of us were expecting at all, to hear the news of little baby Micah coming in at a hefty weight of ten and a half pounds, was more than this "Mama" could bear, as the phone fell to my lap and tears crept in my eyes, thinking about what my daughter must have endured. I had felt the same way a few years ago when my middle daughter had went so far in labor and so many hours, to end up having a C-Section, but knowing it was a decision that was inevitable.

There are times in life when things may not turn out how we want them to, and sometimes it may be for our own welfare, but in our key verse it does say that we are not to be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication as well as thanksgiving, we are to let our requests be known to God. Psalm 37:7 that we are to be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him. God hears our prayers, our requests, our petitions and He tells us in Isaiah 40:3, "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."

We know that God has plans for each and every one of us, He knows those plans, plans for welfare and not evil, plans to give us a future and a hope, God declares this in Jer. 29:11. So if you are facing something today, practice being still before Him and wait patiently for the answer. It's never easy while you are in the waiting room, it can be frustrating and annoying at times, but when we are patient and content while we wait, it will be worth it in the end.

Let's Pray,

Father God, You have blessed me in so many ways, I cannot tell it all. Lord, I thank you for every answered prayer and every unanswered prayer that I may never know. Lord, help each and every one of who are facing different situations, to remember that you have brought us through many situations before and you will do it again. help us to be patient as we give you praise as we are in the waiting room. I thank you in advance for a victorious ending in the Mighty name of Jesus, as You have a great plan for each and every one of your children, Amen.

Be blessed girlfriends, and be a blessing to others. Thank you for passing this message on.
