And this is the confidence which we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of him. 1 John5:14-15 RSV

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Oh the days of being young and free with no cares in the world, speeding down the highway called life. This morning I was taking my time on the new snowy roads as I drove one of my family members to work, up ahead I could see a truck pull out from a crossroad onto the main road right in front of me, the hind end of his vehicle slid around across the road and he stepped on the gas and took off like a shot as he barreled down the road. It's funny how some young people seem to have no fear and drive the same way as if it were a sunny summer day. The older you get it seems, the more cautious you tend to drive, especially in the winter because of the snowy road conditions.

When I was in my twenties I remember doing what was called " The twenty minute workout," feeling energized and ready to start the day, I could make alot of things happen with that burst of energy in the run of a day. Now that I am just a "few years older," I'm not sure if I could do "the five minute" workout without being winded and ready for a little rest, but that's the way it goes if we don't keep up with our exercise to keep our bodies strong and in shape.

Girlfriends, that's the same thing that can happen, when it comes to our prayer life, we have to exercise it in order for it to grow, to grow in power in order to make it so that the enemy has a hard time to get through any cracks in our life. When we are a new Christian, we are excited about all the newness as we learn about what Jesus did on the cross for us, that He came to save and set us free from sin. We learn new things about this new life, how Jesus shows us to be loving and kind to one another, as we grow in our own faith, we also learn to grow in our own prayer time as well. As a new Christian we usually don't know how to pray or what to pray, so we start our with simple prayers as we ask and pray for simple things. As we have been serving the Lord for many years our prayer time with Him should grow in power as we have been in His word, we know what His word says and we know that we can stand on His word because it is truth.

As a younger Christian we tend to ask God for things in our prayer time, but as we are "seasoned" in the Lord, after reading and knowing what the word says about our families and situations in life, we then can come boldly to God, (Hebrews 4:16) and declare what His word says, that means we are reminding God of what He has already said, so we are speaking it out with a boldness, believing that what we are saying is true for each and every situation that we face in our daily lives. As we declare His word over our situations, it says in Jeremiah 1:12 that He watches over His word to perform it or to bring it to pass. There is no spoken word from God that is without power or is impossible for Him to perform. If God says it in His word then it will come to pass because He is a God that does not lie He is all truth, and there is nothing that is impossible for God to accomplish. (Luke 18:27, Luke 1:37)

Now is the time that we are living that we are not to slow down or slack off in our prayer time but we are to come with power and force in our prayer time as we declare and decree Gods word over our families, over our jobs, over our health and welfare, we need to speak out what God says about all of it, and what He says about us, Amen.

Let's Pray,

Father God, I thank you that we have a mighty Saviour to come to in prayer. Lord I also thank you for hearing each and every prayer that goes up to you and as your word says, you are listening and you will bring our prayers to pass as we stand believing on your word, that you are a faithful God and you go to your father to intercede on our behalf. Lord each of us have unsaved loved ones that we are standing in the gap for and believing that they will be brought in to the family of God, we are believing for prodigals to come home. Lord your word says that our latter days will be better than our former days and that we are the head and not the tail. Lord I declare over each and every one of us a sound mind, a healthy and strong body and a household that serves the Lord. Lord help each one of us to grow in your word and grow stronger in declaring what your word says for our lives as we get closer and closer to you by spending quiet moments with you, we will then truly know your heart. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen.

Be blessed sweet ones and pass the blessings on as you pray with a boldness over your loved ones.
