"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:28-29 NIV
Good Morning Girlfriends:
There is still work to be done, papers to go through, clothes to go through to give away, closets to rearrange, cupboards to clean out and rearrange, shifting things around to make space for everyone. The countdown is on, fourteen days until my youngest daughter is due to have her second baby. Mimi will be looking after the oldest "little boo" as she calls him, and everything has to be done before the new baby arrives.
The plan is that the growing family will be moving in to stay, until the new mama gets on her feet with a new routine as she will be caring for a new baby and a sixteen month old. Mimi wants everything to be just right, things in place in order that the transition will be made with ease. The pressure is on, days are being counted down, with things to still be put in place, and a little Christmas shopping is being planned before the baby comes. The question that runs through my mind, "Is there going to be enough time to get everything done?"
Each day I am picking away at my list of things to do in preparation, with the every day routine of things to do, some things that are being pulled out of the closets and shelves may have to be boxed up and stored away for a bit, just to make room for everyone.
Girlfriends, do you ever feel, when the crunch is on and there still seems to be so many things in your mind that you think that have to be done, it can feel a bit overwhelming? I know for myself it sure can be, but I have learned, for me this works anyway, to make a list of the things that I would like to get done, the most important things. Then each day I mindfully go to work and try not to let there be any distractions that would take me off course. Then as I go along with each task, I scratch it off my list as I proceed to the next task.
Making a habit to take time to pray each morning to the Lord, seeking Him for His strength and His peace to diligently work along, helps to get each little task accomplished. (Hebrews 11:6) God tells us in His word, in Galatians 6:9 that if we do not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
What makes me work all the harder to get this task completed, is that I know I may have thirteen days before the baby is due, and his big brother will be staying with me while mama and baby are in the hospital, but I am working harder and faster because only God knows the day the baby will be coming. For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to be born...and a time for this Mimi to rest, so until then I continue on with whatever each day holds until the time, and the day that things will go in another direction. Another little blessing is almost on the doorstep, Praise God for One of His many blessings. This will make eleven blessings for this Mimi, and I thank God for each precious one, Amen, Amen.
Here are a few scriptures when you are feeling a little anxious: 1 Chronicles 16:11 Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His presence continually. Isaiah 26:3 You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you; because he trusts in you. Psalm 73:23 says, Nevertheless, I am continually with you; you hold my right hand. God is always with us in every situation, He has already went before us and has everything all worked out. He is the one we draw our strength and our peace from.
So, here are a few scriptures about peace in whatever situation you are facing: Isaiah 26:3 says, You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. I love this one, Psalm 29:11 says, The Lord gives strength to His people, and the Lord blesses His people with peace. Another good one to remember is 1 Peter 5:7, Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. Amen.
Let's Pray,
Father God, I bless your name this morning, the name of Jesus. You are the creator of the heavens and the earth and the times, You already know the right time that everything will be done in all of our situations that we face. Lord help us to diligently seek you each day, and help our spirits to stay calm as we continue on each day to fulfill whatever task is at hand in Jesus name. Lord fill us with a strength like no other, give us stamina to not give up but to finish what we have started. Lord, we know that time is running out as well, before you will be making your entrance to take your people home, So I pray for every lost soul that does not know you, that you would send someone into their path to share the gospel story of Jesus to them, so that they would surrender their life over to you, so that they too will have life eternal in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Be blessed, and pass the blessings on. Thank you for passing this message on and enjoy your day.
