Another reason for right living is this; you know how late it is; time is running. Wake up, for the coming of the Lord is nearer now than when we first believed. Romans 13:11 The Living Bible
Good Morning Girlfriends:
All summer I have watched this little chipmunk hopping across my lawn in the back yard, and that is exactly what he was doing, hopping. He would come out from among the wood pile, with his cheeks puffed up so big, taking a look quick look around, then one little hop, another little hop until he reached his little hole in the ground and he would disappear until the next trip across the lawn.
A friend of mine who lives up the road, has a bag of peanuts that she feeds little "chippy" a handful each day, as that little chipmunk fills his cheeks full and then scurries across the side porch, he quickly takes his haul for the day off to his little home. These little guys are preparing for the winter months ahead that are usually long, hard and dreary.
It just amazes me how the animals know what time of year it is. They know the seasons are changing, they know what time it is and when to start preparing for the long winter months, we as well, girlfriends will have to start getting things ready for winter. As we can see and feel the change in the weather, and it has happened so fast that it is time to start getting things ready to be put away, repaired and stored so that we too will be ready for the long cold months ahead.
The days are speeding by so fast, it seems like we turn around and its Sunday then it's Friday, then it's Sunday again, where is the time going. I find that it feels like I just jump out of bed to start a new day and it seems like the clock has rolled around to say it's time to end the day. We wake up to it being a little darker in the mornings, to the evenings are getting darker quicker.
Girlfriends, where is the time going, look at our children and our grandchildren, how fast they have grown right before our very eyes. It doesn't feel like we had a very long summer, as fall is upon us already, time is not slowing down, it's speeding up. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 reminds us that there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot. A time to kill and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance. A time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing. A time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away. A time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak. A time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
Mark 13:32-33, reminds us this very important fact "But about the day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when the time will come. So with is statement it certainly makes sense when the scripture tells us in Ephesians 5:15-17, "Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is." We all need to be saved, now is the time more than ever because of the time we are living, the signs are all around us, these are very dark days.
1 Thess 5:1-3 reminds us this is the reason that we need to make sure that we are ready for the coming of the Lord, "Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape."
Proverbs 6:6-8 says, "Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways to be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at the harvest." The ant prepares, the chipmunks and squirrels prepare, the animals of the forest prepares, just as we do for winter, but what is more important than all of that, is making sure that our soul is prepared for that final day, whenever it will be when we take our last breath or the Lord comes back to take His people home. We need to be ready, because of the signs that are all around us, time is ticking, and time is running out. As we read in Ecclesiastes there is a time for everything...now is the time to give your life to Jesus if you have not done so, this is the perfect time!
Let's Pray,
Father God, I thank you heavenly Father for another day on this earth to praise you and to thank you for your goodness. Lord, I thank you that I am given the opportunity to be used for your kingdom. Lord, I can see so many hurting and lost people that need a touch from you. Lord, I lift up each one to you who has been searching for that something that is missing in their lives. Lord, I am believing that today is the day for a change to take place in each of their lives. Lord, you are that change. I call upon the power of the Holy ghost to come into their atmosphere, to fill that room with a power, a fire that they have never felt before. Lord, let your presence fill that room as your love envelopes them in every possible way. Lord, I pray that they would surrender their life over to you as they ask you to come into their heart, to cleanse them and make them a new creature in your likeness. Lord, fill them up to overflowing with the love of Jesus that they will be totally transformed with the joy of the Lord, in the Mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
Be blessed and pass the blessings on to others wherever you go. Thank you for passing this message on to some sweet soul that may need a word.
