Yes, the Lord hears the good man when he calls to him for help, and saves him out of all his troubles. The Lord is close to those whose hearts are breaking; he rescues those who are humbly sorry for their sins. The good man does not escape all troubles-he has them too. But the Lord helps him in each and every one. God even protects him from accidents. Psalm 34:17-20 The Living Bible
Good Morning Girlfriends:
Who doesn't love a good campfire, whether you are camping or sitting right in your back yard. This a great time to get together with friends to relax, wind down and have great conversation while enjoying the warmth of the campfire. One weekend a couple of my girlfriends and I decided we were going to get together to enjoy some time together around the campfire. All kinds of snacks were added to the good time, and of course what's a campfire without making smores.
You don't have to go to girls scouts to have a good fire going, and this night it sure was a good fire as the flames were bursting through the top of the fire pit as we pulled our chairs back to enjoy the view from a bit of a distance. We began to chat, as we began to relax and get all cozied around the fire. One friend began to talk about her childhood as she shared some of the horrible things she had experienced as a little girl, so much that I'm sure my mouth had hung wide open. Our conversation began to shift to other experiences that each of us had come through, and as the fire began to calm down, we pulled our chairs back up to the fire to toast a few marshmallows on our sticks that we had cut ourselves from the woods. I think we would have made great girl scout girls.
I had noticed that a couple of us had toasted our marshmallows, rolling it around and around to lightly toast it completely but when it had caught fire they were quickly pulled out, as we blew on it, ate the crusty layer and then stuck it back in the fire again to give another "go round." My other friend had toasted hers as well but when it had caught the flames she blew her out and ate the whole thing, then she was done after one marshmallow. She said they were so sweet, that she could only eat one and didn't want to go home with a upset stomach. All in all, we had a wonderful evening as we hung out for a while longer as the flames were drifting into coals and the night sky was pitch black, making it hard to see one another, that is when we called it a night after pouring a bucket of water on the coals.
Girlfriends, getting together with new friends or old friends is always an interesting time as stories come out in conversations of past events, present events, topics unfold about another person that one would have never known about. It's just like some of us who are willing to open up to a new relationship with another person, after one had went sour. It's the same way with a marriage, if you've stepped into a marriage and you got burnt, there are some women who do not go down that path ever again, and there are others who still continue to open up their heart to another relationship hoping it will take them in a better direction.
Whether you are that one who was burnt once or you are that one who was burnt over and over, and not only that it can be in a marriage but even in a friendship, there can be many layers of hurt, disappointment, abandonment, anger, unforgiveness, resentment, jealousy, anxiety, trust issues that need to be healed, layer by layer. Psalm 147:3 says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Philippians 4:19 says " And My God shall supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
What are you in need of, is it healing from some of those things I had mentioned that you have been holding onto because of what had happened in the past. Let's get that looked after today, because it says in James 5:16 that if we confess our sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. James 1:5 tells us that if any of us lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. If you have a person whom you are close to that will come along beside you and pray with you as you confess the things that you need healing from and if you are the one that may not have that person to pray with you, we will pray right here today for your healing, Amen?
Let's Pray,
Father God, I lift up Your name for Your name is holy and there is no other God like You. Lord I thank You for going to the cross and taking upon Your body, our sins the sins of the world. Lord, I lift up every sweet soul that has layers of pain, hurt, disappointment, resentment, unforgiveness, jealousy, hatred, anxiousness, fear from past hurts, past relationships, and from childhood hurts in life. Lord, I ask that You would go in to those areas of their heart and heal every one of those things in the mighty name of Jesus. Let each of those things be swept out, cleared away and healed in Jesus mighty name. Lord, create in each of them a clean heart and renew a right spirit within each of them in Jesus name, let the love of our precious Savior invade each heart, let their hearts be overflowing with His precious love and healing in the mighty name of Jesus. Let each one shine with a new countenance, that it cannot be mistaken that they have had a personal encounter with the Lord God Almighty Himself, in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
Be blessed, and pass the blessings on. Thank you for passing or sharing this message with others.
