A witness who tells the truth saves good men from being sentenced to death, but a false witness is a traitor. Proverbs 14:25 The Living Bible

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Sitting back and watching the screen as the court case came into session, the judge had called the defending lawyer to call his first witness to the stand. Calling forth a neighbor to the defendant, facts were brought out about how well the neighbor was known in the community and how he was well respected by all who knew him. Another person had been called to the stand whom had been a friend since childhood, which he shared that his friend was a kind and gentle soul, who was always helping friends and neighbors, lending a hand in whatever was going on, he had been on many boards in council for their little town in which he had lived as he was older and now married, many good things were said about this man, who was on trial for committing a crime that didn't sound like something this young man could ever do.

The judge called for the prosecutor to call his first witness as he had approached the bench, questions again were asked to witnesses about what they knew about the defendant and what proof they were bringing to the table. Witness after witness that was brought forth from the prosecutor, as you looked around the room, one could tell that these witnesses were not speaking the truth about the young man that was on trial, as someone in the audience stood up yelling, "lies, they are all lies," as the gavel came down for there to be silence in the court room.

The jury had heard all that they were going to hear, as court was adjourned, they had to bring all the information before them, as they laid it out on the table in order to bring forth a decision. When the decision was made, the court was brought into session for the reading of the verdict. The one that was chosen to read the verdict, rose and spoke "We find the defendant not guilty," and with a sigh of relief, tears had filled the defendants eyes as hugs and handshakes were coming at him from his supporters.

Girlfriends, if ever we are asked a question about a person that we know, we should always and only speak truth. There are too many people out there in the world, who are so quick to make up stories about someone, whether it gets them any where or not, prov. 14:5 says, that a truthful witness never lies; a false witness always lies. Prov. 14:25 also says, "A witness who tells the truth saves good men from being sentenced to death, but a false witness is a traitor," many years ago I sat in a court room as I watched and listened to truth and lies being told about my very own father. In his case, the truth was far greater than all of the lies that were told that day, as truth prevailed.

The thing of it is, that God is above us all (Ephesians 4:6) and He is the one with the all seeing eye. (Psalm 33:18) He knows everything that goes on out in the open and He knows the truth about what is going on behind closed doors. As a friend once shared with me, as I chuckled when she said it but it was very much the truth when she spoke, "Love is blind but the neighbors are not." It is the same way in each and every one of our lives, if there is something that we are hiding, we might as well come clean to the Lord. He already knows, but He wants us to come to Him as we repent and ask for forgiveness, it's just that simple, and that person can move on just like that, to be free of any kind of shame they may have had. (Acts 3:19)

God wants each and every one of us to know, that if we are to do something or say something without even realizing and someone brings it to our attention, all we have to do is to quickly ask for forgiveness and move on from it, don't let it linger in your mind. Since God is so forgiving, we too must be quick to forgive one another, and always be bold to tell the truth in any situation. There is a scripture that says it like this, "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin." (James 4:17) I love this in Proverbs 14:2 it tells us "To do right honors God; to sin is to despise him." Let's always remember the ninth commandment says, "You shall not give false witness against your neighbor." This means two things two things, do not lie when testifying in court, and do not lie period, Amen?

Another scripture came to me, which is called the "Golden Rule," found in Matthew 7:12, "In everything, do to others what you would have them do to you." If you would like truth to be spoken about you, then speak only truth about others, we can only pray that others will see it that way as well, Amen?

Let's Pray,

Father God, I bless Your holy name, for You alone deserve our praises. You are a loving and forgiving God, that no matter what we have done or did last week, You are willing to forgive when we ask for Your forgiveness. Lord. help each and every one of us to always speak truth, Your truth in every and any situation. Lord, help us to stay strong and follow in Your ways, and speak Your words when giving advice or when we have to speak on someone's behalf. Lord, let nothing but truth roll off of our tongues in the Mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Be blessed dear ones and pass the blessings on. Thank you for passing this message on.
