And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believes. 1 Thessalonians 2:13 NIV
Good Morning Girlfriends:
It's hard to believe that we are already close to the Christmas season again, how can that be? Thinking back at all the many times during the "daycare days," this would be the time of year that the teachers in each of the classrooms, would be preparing poems and songs for the children to read and sing when they would stand before their loved ones as we put on a Christmas Concert.
Christmas activities, games, songs, books were a daily routines during this season. The children were always filled with so much excitement, and at times a bit on the hyper side, you know how it is, but on most days they were quite cooperative to learn and sing new songs as we would practice a few minutes each day. A few weeks before the holidays, the children would be asked to make a wish list of what they were asking for Christmas, and depending the age group, we would cut out pictures from a magazine so they could glue the pictures on their wish list instead. As each child was asked the question, we would hear replies such as a new doll that had a soother and a blanket, the newest lego block set with the batman that came with it, a hot wheels race track, as their lists would be written up in letter form to be sent to Santa.
This one story that I was told is hard not to think about when the little girl answered the question what it is was that she wanted for Christmas. She was not asking for toys or clothes , but she had replied that for five years she was praying that her mommy would have a baby, she wanted a brother or a sister. For five years she had been believing, what faith..."child like faith," and that is what it says in God's word, that we are to come to Him with child like faith. (Matthew 18:3, Luke 18:7, Matthew 19:14)
Girlfriends, let me ask you the question, "what are you believing for," take a moment to think about it, what are you really believing for? I'm sure that everyone has loved ones that are in need of salvation, or are you believing for that person that you know that needs deliverance from a drug addiction, are believing for a family member to be released from jail, whatever it is don't stop believing. Every situation is different, and there is a process for every situation, just like the little girl who had believed for five years, she did not know how long it was going to take before her prayer was answered, but she didn't stop believing.
When we are asking God for something to happen, we have to believe that it will, and that takes faith to believe. We do not know how long it will take for a prayer request to be answered, we do not know what has to take place or what the process is in order for the prayer to come to pass. What we do know is what God's word says, that if we ask for something, believe that we already have it, found in Mark 11:24. Now that your prayer has went up to God, and you are believing that He has heard it, now you believe that your answer is on its way. So when you believe that it's already on its way, you now thank God in advance for answering your prayer, because when you thank Him in advance, you are standing in faith. You will not know how long it will take for it to come to pass, but you can be guaranteed that your prayer is on its way, because God is not a God that lies. (Titus 1:2)
Never stop believing in the God of impossibilities. (Gen. 18:14, Hebrews 6:18, Luke 1:37, Luke 1:45)
Let's Pray,
Father God, I thank you Lord that you are a heavenly father that we can come to with our requests. Lord I thank you, that you do hear our prayers and as we stand in faith to your promises to answer our prayers, we will see the fullness of them as they do come to pass. Lord I lift up that one who is believing for salvation for their loved ones, I lift up that dear one who has been praying for that person with a drug addiction to be delivered, and I also lift up that one who is waiting for the report of that one they have been praying for to be released from jailed be done in the mighty name of Jesus, and this is all for your glory Lord. Let this be the season for those answered prayers to come forth in Jesus name. Lord I lift up that one who is still believing for a new person in their life, a new relationship, Lord I declare that this is the season for it to all come to pass in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Be blessed sweet ones, and pass the blessings on to others today.
