"Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed. I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand." Isaiah 41:10 The Living Bible
Good Morning Girlfriends:
Going back to the time and events that took place when Moses was born, he was born from the house of Levi and this sweet little baby had been hidden for three months because of a horrible order that Pharaoh had decreed. He put out an order for the Egyptians to find and kill every Hebrew son. Realizing that it was getting too hard to continue to hide their baby boy, a quick plan came together in order to save their son.
Moses' mother went right to work to make a basket of "bulrushes," as she came up with a plan to put her little baby in the basket, she was willing to put him in the reeds by the riverbank in hopes that someone would find him. The day that Moses' mother let him go into the river, the basket had floated downstream to where the Egyptian princess(daughter of Pharaoh) was bathing, when she noticed the basket. When the princess saw the basket and the baby inside, she took pity on the baby, and called for the baby to be nursed and spared from Pharaohs order.
As the baby grew, he became the son of Pharaoh's daughter and she then named him Moses which meant "drew out or pulled out from water." This one Hebrew boy was spared, who would go on later to deliver the Isrealites from bondage and slavery.
Girlfriends, I don't know what you are facing today, but I couldn't imagine going through what Moses' mother did, having to let her son go in hopes that he would be rescued and be safe. We as mothers know how precious and sweet our children are, and I suppose there are times that we do have to take drastic measures in order to keep them safe. Going through a separation myself many years ago, I had went through a terrifying time, at least it was for me, when the children's father took them for a week and didn't want to bring them back. Thankfully we were able to get papers drawn up that was suitable for both of us, in order for them to return back to my arms.
Life is a journey and the challenges you face are obstacles that you have to overcome. Take a moment to read 1 John 4:4 and 1 Cor. 15:57 as they tell us that because Jesus already overcame the world, that same spirit lives within us, and the greater one that lives in us is greater than the one who causes trouble in the world. The challenges that we face is what allows us to expand and become more inclusive, stronger and compassionate.
There may be challenges that you face when setting a goal, whether it's weight loss or weight gain, learning how to look after a new baby, balancing family and a career, but just know that we have someone that we can lean on for strength and guidance. Remember that no matter what we face , no matter what challenges are in our lives, God will make a way where there seems to be no way, even when we can't see it. Look at the scriptures that tells us so in Isaiah 43:19, Zephaniah 1:18, Nahum 1:8-9, Micah 7:9, John 10:9, Isaiah 35:6 and Isaiah 43:20.
Sometimes the struggles in our life that we face, is a test to see if we are truly committed to the life that we say we want. Now girlfriends, there is still one more challenge that we may face , and that is what should we do when we overcome our challenges and we have achieved our goals...Could it be that we could help others that are going through the same challenges and help them to overcome as well, with God's help.
Let us think about this for a moment to let it sink in as we look back at all of the things we have been through. Our challenges are not supposed to worry us, they are supposed to help us discover who we are and how far we can go. We will find out just how resilient we are, it's in the stretching. Let's remember each one of our blessings, and remember what God took us through before, He will do it again, He never fails us, Amen?
Let's Pray,
Father God, Oh I have so many things to thank You for, I have so much to praise You for. You have brought me through so many fiery battles in my life, You have kept me strong through it all. Father God, I lift up each individual who is facing a storm, dilemmas, or serious decisions that they must make. Lord, I speak Your strength over and in each one today, that a boldness would rise up in each one to do what must be done, let a boldness come over their tongue to say what must be said in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, You are with them through their tests and trials and You will never leave them even through the tough decisions of life. Lord, let them receive a new boldness like never before that gives them the unction to press on and to never give up for You are their rod and their staff and You are their guide through it all and I thank You in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
Be blessed sweet girlfriends, and pass the blessings on. Please pass this message on to others that you are connected with. Thank you.
