What Happened To Faith Over Fear

But Caleb reassured the people as they stood before Moses. "Let us go up at once and possess it," he said, "for we are well able to conquer it!" Numbers 13:30 The Living Bible

Good Morning Girlfriends:

As I was sitting and praying about some things this morning, my thoughts went to my friend that had messaged me this morning, telling me her family had contacted that flu like symptom. She was giving me her praise report that she was thanking God for her God given immunity, that was telling me that God took her through the wilderness and she came out at the end of it with God and because of God.

Immediately I leafed over the pages of the Bible, until I came to where Caleb and Joshua, two of the spies among twelve, who were chosen by Moses, to go into the land of Canaan, in which God had already spoke that He was giving this land to Israel. Moses had instructed them to go northward into the hill country of Negeb and see what the land was like. He wanted to know what the people were like, whether they were weak or strong, many or few; whether the land was fertile or not, and whether there were cities or villages and if they were fortified. Moses asked them to see if the land was rich or poor and to check to see if there were many trees, and not to forget to bring back samples of the crops that they saw.

The men were gone on their expedition for forty days , as they came back with the report to Moses and Aaron and for all the people of Israel. They let everyone know that the country was magnificent, the land did flow with milk and honey, and they held up the ginormous cluster of grapes that they had to carry back on a pole by two men. In the next moment there was a "but," as they continued to say that the people were powerful who lived there, the cities were fortified and very large, including that they saw giants in the land. (verses 27-29)

Even though the majority of the report that was given by the spies was negative, Caleb still stood before Moses declaring that they should go up at once and possess the land, for he thought that they were well able to conquer it. (verse 30) Girlfriends, I feel like that it what God is telling us today. Is there something that God has been speaking to you about to do, a place that He has showed you to go to, a new land that you are to move to, a new business that you are to start, a job that you are to leave, that relationship that you know is not going anywhere, because they are not on the same page as you and do not want the same things you do.

Believe me girlfriends, I am speaking to myself as well, not only asking you this question. Let's be honest here...God has not given us a spirit of fear but of love and a sound mind, right? ( 2 Tim. 1:7) So if God has not given us a spirit of fear then where does it come from, the enemy of course. Why do you think that the enemy would want us to be fearful just like the eight spies were who looked at all of the negative...because the enemy did not want them to possess what God was already giving them and said was theirs. The enemy uses the tactic of intimidation so that we will back down from doing what God has said is already ours. It makes sense doesn't it, but who is bigger and who is greater than the enemy who works in our life at times to try and stop us from something, it's God of course.

Girlfriends, our focus must always stay on the Lord, the one who created us, the one who leads and directs us, and who shows us signs of what He wants us to do because He is in it. We have to stand up with a boldness like a lion, and tell the devil no more are you holding me back for that right relationship that God has for me, or no longer will you hold me back from standing up in my work place for truth. Devil no more will you hold me back from stepping out and starting that new business, or moving to that new town or city that God has opened up for me to move to. Yes I will step out and put my business online, yes I will stand up for those who can't stand up for themselves. we have to stop looking at all the other giants, who have been there for years, and who may be better, they don't have what we have to bring to the plate.

Let's join our faith together and stand up to possess the land that God is calling us to, so that we will reap the benefits from it, Amen, because it is flowing with milk and honey.

Father God, I praise You this morning for who You are. You are God almighty who is my strength to take me through anything that comes my way. Lord, I lift up that dear soul who is struggling to get our of that relationship that is not working, their values are not the same. Lord open their eyes to what You have for them that is bigger and better. Lord for that soul that wants to step out into a new job that You have been guiding them to do, Lord give them that extra boost of courage to step out and finally do it in Jesus name. Lord, help each and every one of us to take that leap of faith to move where You are moving us to, because wherever You lead us, it will be flowing with milk and honey and I thank You in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
