What If You Knew

"For this is my blood, sealing the New Covenant. It is poured out to forgive the sins of multitudes." Matthew 26:28 New Living Bible

Good Morning Girlfriends:

On the first day of the Passover ceremonies, when bread made with yeast was purged from every Jewish home, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Where shall we plan to eat the Passover?" He replied, "Go into the city and see Mr. So-and-so, and tell him, 'Our Master says, my time has come, and I will eat the Passover meal with my disciples at your house.' So the disciples did as he told them, and prepared the supper there.

That evening as he sat eating with the Twelve, he said, "One of you will betray me." Sorrow chilled their hearts, and each one asked, "Am I the one?" He replied, "It is the one I served first. For I must die just as was prophesied, but woe to the man by whom I am betrayed. Far better for that one if he had never been born." Judas, too, had asked him, "Rabbi, am I the one?" And Jesus had told him, "Yes."

As they were eating, Jesus took a small loaf of bread and blessed it and broke it and gave it to the disciples and said, "Take it and eat it, for this is my body." And He took a cup of wine and gave thanks for it and gave it to them and said, "Each one drink from it, for this is my blood, sealing the New Covenant. It is poured out to forgive the sins of multitudes. Mark my words--I will not drink this wine again until the day I drink it new with you in my Father's Kingdom."

Girlfriends, I can only imagine all of the talk that went around the table that night as Jesus was explaining to them that He was leaving them, that this would be the last time they would be with Him. He had been teaching them for three and a half years and telling them all the things that they needed to know about the "Kingdom of God," preparing them for what was to come, and how important it was going to be for them to share the gospel.

Just think about this girlfriends, if you knew you only had one day left to live, and you had gathered your family, in whom you love very much, to have one last supper with them, what would you want to share with them, what would the talk be about? At first, there might be idle chat about the things that has been going on in the world, or what everyone had done that day, but I'm sure each one of your family members would be wondering why they were all gathered there.

Your last parting words would be so profound in their ears as you would share with them how important it is to have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, (Hebrews 2:1,3..John 15:4-5) that He loves each and every one of them so much that He sent His only son to die for them. (John 3:16) I'm sure you would remind them of all of the people in your family who have already went on to be with Jesus, and that you will be re-united with them. (1 Thess 4:17, John 14:1-3) They would be reminded that God gives each person their own free will to decide where they will live their life for eternity, everyone has a choice to make for themselves. (2 Peter 3:9, John 7:17) We always have choices in life that we have to make decisions about, it could be whether to buy a new car or a used one, where we spend eternity is no different.

I'm sure it would be made very clear that every one has a past, and they do things that they are not proud of, but when you accept Jesus as your Savior, He forgives and washes it all away as though it had never happened. (1 John 1:9, Heb. 8:12, Isaiah 43:25) Each and every one of our children means so much to us as a parent, that we only want the best for them. It is a very important fact that every person on this earth should know is that there really is a hell and there really is a heaven. Jesus over and over let His disciples and the people that He ministered to, that He would be leaving this earth to go to prepare a place for us, (John 14:3) and that was in heaven.

God's word does tell us that, He already knows whose names are written down in the "Lambs Book Of Life," that means He already knows who will be in heaven with Him, we want to make sure that each of our names is in that book, (John 6:54) Amen? Not one person knows the time or hour that Jesus will return, or when our time will be up to live on this earth, so it is so very important to make sure that we are ready, so that when that day does comes we will have no regrets, because we chose to make the right choice, Amen?

Precious Jesus, I love You and I praise You for making Yourself real to me. Lord, I am so ever thankful for how You have totally turned my life around, that I am headed in the right direction which points only to You. Lord, I lift up each sweet person to You today, who has been questioning and pondering on making this important decision for their eternal life. Lord, let each one ask themselves, "If I was to leave this earth today, where would I be?" Lord, let Your very presence fill the room where they are at right now, let Your presence be so heavy that they will know that it is You. Lord I pray for each of them and I am believing with them, that they will surrender their life over to You so that they will know exactly where they will be when life is over here on this earth. I thank You dear Lord, for each dear soul that says yes to You today, in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
