Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant. 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 Amp. Version

Many waters cannot quench love, rivers cannot wash it away. Song of Solomon 8:7

Good Morning Girlfriends:

The other night a friend of mine and I were talking about different things and the word love came into the conversation. Love is a funny word sometimes and can be used so loosely, we agreed, like when a person says they love a pair of shoes someone is wearing or the color of their hair, or they love pizza, we tend to throw this word around carelessly. The description of these things would be that we like the very strongly or admire them, but love is on a whole different level.

As we were talking it was brought out that when we say our vows in marriage, people don't seem to take them very serious as they are saying "For better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health until death us do part." It is easy to speak these words out of our mouth but do we back them up with our actions, why is it just so easy to walk away from one another if you have said these words in love. Of course, as we know every situation is different and there can be different dynamics that are involved. Love stands for more than just romantic attraction or strong feelings towards those close to you or the one you marry, it also stands for truth, respect, and obedience that we as Christians hold for God.

Sometimes as we find, love does not come easy, as we may say, "I love you," to someone may be different than showing it, like when someone is scared and needs a word of encouragement, or someone who is sick in the hospital, or to help out a new mom with her baby these ways are easy to show love. What if you were faced with a loved one that keeps getting into trouble, or a person who seems to be hardened because they have been hurt so many times and they are having a hard time to be loved or don't know if they can love again.

God's love is called "Agape" love, it is unconditional love, love that covers all things. Here are thirteen scriptures I wanted to share with you on God's Agape love...1 John 5, 1 Cor. 16:14, 1 Cor. 13:2, 1 Peter 4:8, 1 Cor. 13:13, John 15:12, Colossians 3:14, Ephesians 4:2-3, 1 John 4:12, Romans 12:20,Song of Solomon 3:4, Genesis 2:24, 1 John 4:18-19. These are just a few of the scriptures that will help us to have a greater understanding of God's love for us and the way that we should love one another as His love is down deep inside of us because of His spirit that lives within us. We learn to love with the love of our Father who is all love and John 3:16 says it all, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that who ever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." Let's love with the Agape love, Amen.

Let's Pray,

Precious Jesus, I thank you for the love that you have for every individual here today. Lord I pray that as each of your children spend time with you on a much deeper level we will begin to grow in your love as you pour more of your love onto and into us with every moment that we spend together. Lord I pray that if there is anyone who has closed their heart off to love or being love, that You Lord that is all love, would touch that person right now and let them fill the love of the Father flow all over them from the top of their head to the tip of their toes and that You would fill their heart up to overflowing in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Be blessed dear ones and pass the blessings on to others who may need some love.
