He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers. Psalm 1:3 NKJV
Good Morning Girlfriends:
The other evening, my daughter and I were taking my grandson out for a walk in the stroller, getting some fresh air and enjoying the beautiful warm sunshine. This was his first little venture out, all wrapped up in a fuzzy blanket, I could tell he loved it. As we were almost back to the house, I could hear the birds chirping up in the trees and a rustling and crunching noise just in through the trees, and I wondered what is in there.
My thoughts were brought back to when our family had just moved up to this area when I was a teenager, our dad had made a little trail in the woods, up behind our house, where he had built a little storage building. My sister and I would sometimes venture onto the path to pick wild strawberries, as I had remember my dad telling us that he was sure he had seen a bobcat up on the trail, he said it was too big to be a house cat. I don't know about you but walking in the woods can be a little scary, especially when you are younger and you don't have an adult with you. My sister and I would walk onto the trail a little bit further this one time, to see where it would lead us to. We would walk along trying not to make too much noise, because we really didn't know what might be in the woods. Have you ever noticed the deeper in that you go, the darker it becomes, not much light shining through the trees. We came across a couple of muddy holes that we had to walk around, but as we were coming to the end of the path, we could see that it was getting lighter and the sun was shining as we came out into an open field, as we found ourselves at the end of our adventure. As we turned around to walk back home, we figured it wasn't that bad at all, but we were glad we had each other.
As I have come out of some dark places in my life, such as depression, hurts, disappointments, divorces, there are some deep dark places that need to be explored and opened up in order for the healing to begin. Over the years, as I have become closer to the Lord, and I began reading His word, I learned that my healing comes from Him. Everyone goes through some very painful things in their lifetime, and there are some people who don't want to let God go into those deep, dark places for healing because it means it will hurt in the process. The longer we hold onto our hurts, the deeper they are getting rooted, just like the trees that get planted, over time those roots grow bigger and stronger.
Girlfriends, let's be like that tree that is planted by the water, and let God go into our deep dark places to begin the healing process, so that after we have had our time of healing, we will be like the tree after time, we will be producing good fruit. We will be replacing our hurts, our disappointments, with joy and peace and love. From my experience, living for the Lord is a much better way to live, and even still as life goes on, we will have our hurts and disappointments, but it is a lot easier time to get through just knowing that God is walking along side of us, we don't have to be alone walking on that dark path. God is our light at the end of the trail.
Let's Pray,
Precious Heavenly Father, I thank you for this glorious day, and I thank you for each dear soul today. I want to lift up that one who is wondering if it is worth it to go on the way they are going or is now the time for a change. I say to one, now is the time for change. Lord I'm asking for you to hover over that one and let her feel the warmth of your hand on her right now, in Jesus name, as the healing power of God is flowing through you to heal all of your brokenness, hurts and questions. Lord go in to the deep places and cleanse and heal those places in Jesus name. To the one who is wondering if your relationship is worth saving, God would say to you, to look up and know that He is with you to give you strength to come to the other side of it, God is speaking to you right now, in Jesus name. Just know that God is our healer, our deliverer, and our keeper when we are on that trail called life. I speak a blessing over each one today in Jesus name, Amen.
Be blessed , and pass the blessings on.
