What Section Are You In

Later, in one of his talks, Jesus said to the people , "I am the Light of the world. So if you follow me , you won't be stumbling through the darkness, for living light will flood your path." John 8:12 NLT

Good Morning Girlfriends:

A little over a year ago I had decided to put up some icicle lights in my kitchen and living room. There is a large beam that runs along the ceiling through both room, so I thought it would a nice soft, cozy light instead of turning all the big lights on. Since my little grandson has been living with me, he loves to look up at the lights and stare as the reflection spreads across the ceiling. The other day when I plugged them in for baby to look at, I happened to notice that the whole middle section was burned out. I thought to myself, oh great now I have to take down one who strand of the lights because the part that was burned out, half of the strand still works but it has to be taken town so it doesn't short out the rest.

Now if any of you girls that are not very tall like me, and this ceiling is "cathedral" style ceiling, you would know how hard it is to reach up over your head, while standing on a ladder with a staple gun to put them up, as you have to move inch by inch to get them stapled to the beam. Needless to say, I have not ventured out on that project yet, but I know it has to be tackled. The day that I had noticed the section of light that were burned out, I stood there looking at them, as I saw the first section was still lit up, the middle section was out and them the last section was still lit up, it made me think of our lives. When we come into the world, we are sweet innocent little babies, and then usually somewhere along the way, not always but in most cases we tend to get led off onto a dark path, as we are caught up into the ways of the world, living the way people who do not follow Jesus would act, partying, drinking, smoking, using other substance, as we are being led in a wrong direction. Then as I looked back up at the lights again, the end section of the lights that were lit up represented the last part of our days, when we finally surrender our life to Jesus and come into the light, which Jesus is that light.

Girlfriends, God totally amazes me when He shows me simple little things such as this example but it's so true when you think about it. I love it, God is so good, and as He unfolds things or gives a revelation to me, I then pass it on to you.

Only you can answer the question, of what section of life you are in, are you at the first part of your life, are you in the middle section of life, or are you nearing closer to the end section of life. No matter what section of life that we are in, God wants us to know that no matter what we have or have not done in life in that middle dark section of life, He loves us, He loves us unconditionally. When Jesus gave up His life for us, He came not to condemn us but to save us found in John 3:17. Jesus is light which symbolizes goodness, holiness, wisdom, knowledge, grace, hope and God's revelation. The darkness has been associated with sin, evil, and despair.

Girlfriends, I was once in darkness for many years, living my life to what I thought at the time was great, doing what I wanted and when I wanted, whooping it up so to say, but boy was I wrong when things continued to go from bad to worse, I became tired of that whole scene and wanted something different, more, something better for my life, and that something better and different was, of course Jesus. When I asked Him to come into my life, everything changed. I can honestly say that I saw things in a new light. It was like wearing dark sunglasses and then lifting them off, I could see things in a much clearer, lighter way. Things began to change within me, I didn't long for the old way I had been living, I had no desire live that way anymore, or go to the places I used to go, or listen to the same music, I became a brand new person, and I love who I have become, as I have fallen in love, more and more, with the one who changed my life completely.

As you ask yourself or come to the realization, to what section of life you are in, it will be then, when you start asking yourself the question, is this where I want to be, depending on which section you are in. Today is the most special day for you, because it can be the day that you make the decision to move from the section of darkness and come into the lighted section, so we as girlfriends can light up the world together.

Dear Heavenly Father, I love to say and speak the name of Jesus and I speak your name over each one who is reading this today. Lord I lift up that dear, sweet soul that has not moved from darkness to the light, Lord I ask that you would each one right where they are at and let them feel your sweet presence, let them hear you speak their name as you call them to come and step into the light, and You will be right there reaching out your hand to them to sweetly guide them in. Lord let them feel your unconditional love flow from the top of their heads to the souls of their feet in the Mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
