When God Reveals, God Heals

for she thought, "If I only touch him, I will be healed." Matthew 9:21 The Living Bible

Good Morning Girlfriends:

News gets around quite quickly when a well known person is coming to town, it's like there is a "buzz" that rings in the air, as people prepare for what performance it may be. By no means was this a performance, shortly after Jesus arrived to Capernaum, his home town, some men brought a paralyzed boy on a mat to him. Knowing what the religious leaders were thinking, Jesus wanted to prove to them that He was who He said He was, so on the spot the young boy was healed as he jumped up from his stretcher and left.

The rabbi of the local synagogue came to Jesus telling Him that his daughter had just died, he continued to say that he believed that if Jesus would come to his house and touch his daughter she would come back to life, now that is faith. Jesus and His disciples were on their way to the rabbi's house when along came this woman who had been sick with an internal issue of blood for twelve years, she was bowed low on the ground as she reached out and touched the tassel that hung from the bottom of Jesus' robe. The woman said to herself, "If I only touch Him, I will be healed." Jesus then turned around to the woman and spoke, "Daughter, all is well! Your faith has healed you."

When Jesus arrived at the Rabbi's house, he saw a large crowd and heard the funeral music playing. He told the crowd to leave, and spoke out that the girl wasn't dead but only asleep. Of course the crowd sneered and scoffed at His comment, but as they were led outside, Jesus took the little girl by the hands and she jumped up and was alright again! The report of this wonderful miracle swept through the entire countryside. (Matthew 9:1-25)

Girlfriends, I can't help but feel the excitement in my spirit as I think about what we just read of these accounts in the Bible. As Jesus was walking from town to town, city to city, He was revealing to people who He was and He followed it up with an action by healing the people who were in need. We see that some of the people believed He was who He said He was, and there were those who did not as they were the scoffers and religious people in the crowds.

Century after century, Jesus has been revealing Himself to men and women all over the globe. He uses people like you and me to share who Jesus is, to share what He can do for others, just like He did in these accounts we just heard about. God reveals to us in His living word, the Bible, who He is and what He can do, time and time again. The people in these verses we read about, were people He had revealed Himself to and they believed in who He was, and they believed that He could do the miracles that they needed Him to do, so they went after Him in order to receive what they believed for.

Jesus told the Pharisees that it's not well people that need a doctor, but it is the sick who do, and those are the ones Jesus came to heal, deliver and set free, that is why He went to the cross to heal us from sickness, disease and our sins. Jesus tells us over and over in His word how He came to heal us, He is the one as it says in Exodus 15:26. Isaiah 53:4-5 tells us that it was our grief that He bore, our sorrows that weighed Him down. He was wounded and bruised for our sins, and He was chastised that we might have peace, He was lashed and we were healed. Matthew 8:17 says that it fulfilled prophecy of Isaiah, where He took our sicknesses and bore our diseases. Listen to what 1 Peter says, He personally carried the load of our sins in His own body when He died on the cross, so that we can be finished with sin and live a good life from now on. For His wounds have healed ours. Amen!

Girlfriends, whatever you are in need of healing, Jesus is the answer to your problem. If it is back pain that has hindered you, by His stripes you are healed in Jesus name. If it is a pulled muscle in your back and hip, you are healed in Jesus name. If you have been dealing with chronic headaches, by His stripes you are healed in Jesus name. If you have been weak in the legs, by His stripes you are healed in Jesus name. If you have been sick in your mind with depression, believe in the healing, take it and receive it in Jesus name, Amen, Amen!

Father God, I praise you and thank you for another wonderful day. Lord, you are so good to us to bless us with another day on this earth. Lord, I lift up each person to you today who may be in need of a healing. You have been revealing yourself over and over, so I speak in authority over each persons body, that by Jesus' stripes you are healed now in the Mighty name of Jesus, believe it, receive it and take in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
