God has given each of you some special abilities; be sure to use them to help each other, passing on to others God's many kinds of blessings. Are you called to preach? Then preach as though God Himself were speaking through you. Are you called to help others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies, so that God will be glorified through Jesus Christ-to Him be the glory and power forever and ever, Amen. 1 Peter 4:10-11 The Living Bible
Good Morning Girlfriends:
It's funny, not funny, how we as women who are in menopause, how our bodies take on a whole new shape. As my mom used to say, "things head south," as the elasticity in our bodies lessen, our body shape changes. Going through my closet, trying on clothes, and dresses to see what I haven't worn for awhile and checking to see what fits and what doesn't, I am seeing a slight change and I have found that I have a pile of things that are going to have to go.
Being a person who is a small eater, who doesn't snack in between meals, who does not eat junk food or drink pop, it's hard to believe that such a change can take place in ones body, as I have been trying to be a good steward by taking care of myself. As I look over the clothes that are not quite the right fit for me anymore, I can see that they can be passed down to someone else that they will be a good fit for.
As I have been rearranging things in my home, getting rid of things that I don't use or don't need, making space for baby furniture for the times that I just may have some little visitors for the day and even an overnighter, I am beginning to see that my small place is getting a little small for even me.
Girlfriends, have you ever had the feeling that it is time to move on, because what you carry or what you have plans for does not fit where you are right now. That is where I am at right now, some of my clothes are not the right fit for me, my home is not the right fit for me, this space right here where I do my devotions is not the right space, so I believe it is time for me to move on to the bigger things that He is calling me to do.
In 1 Peter 4:10-11, this is what it is talking about Biblically, being a good steward, a good caretaker of God's kingdom. Each of us has been given different gifts and it is up to each of us to manage our gifts that would be glorifying to God. If God has called us to serve, then we are to serve with the strength that God gives us, serving one another in the way that Jesus would have. Taking the time to pray with one another and for one another, giving of our time when it is needed, giving money, or items whenever it is needed to help someone in need. As a believer we will reap what we sow, (Luke 6:38, Gal.6:7-8, Prov. 11:18,Hosea 10:12) so we should be sowing words of kindness, lifting up one another with our words and in prayer, giving when we can give, loving when we can love even when it may be hard to love.
Did you know that being a good steward is wise, just as Jesus had told the disciples in Matt. 10:16, "be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves." In the parable of the three men who were given the same amount of money to invest, two out of the three invested it wisely, so the were rewarded a double portion. A good steward is kind, think about every time that we share the love of Jesus by sharing the gospel with other who do not know Him yet, it says in James 5:20, "Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his life from death and cover a multitude of sins."
Noah was a good steward by building the Ark in order for animals and people to be saved, Moses was a good steward for leading the Israelites out of Egypt and through the desert, but on the other hand Judas was not a good steward because he sold Jesus out for twelve pieces of silver.
Girlfriends, can you think of something that you have been taking good care of, you have been working diligently to keep it going, keep it in good working order, as you are waiting for God to move you into something that will work better for you. God promises us that if we do not grow weary for doing good, in due season we will reap, if we do not give up, Gal. 6:9. You could be looking at a promotion in a job, you may be looking at getting a better and bigger vehicle that will meet your needs, or you may be on the look out for a bigger home that will accommodate your ministry, your crafting, book writing or whatever else you are gifted in, God is the God of increase. (1 Cor. 3:5-8) Never forget that God says that He will meet your every need, (Phil. 4:19) and He is faithful to those who are faithful to Him, (Deut. 7:9, 2 Tim. 2:13) God's promises are "Yes and Amen," (2 Cor. 1:20) and we will reap in due season if we do not give up, (Gal. 6:9) Amen!!!
Let's Pray,
Father God, I thank you for this glorious day to give you praise and glory, for you are worthy. You woke each of us up today, so let everything that has breath, praise the Lord. Lord, I thank you that you see those who have been working hard at their jobs, working hard to keep their business going, working diligently in the ministry. Lord, you also see the ones who have been working hard to take good care of their homes in which they live in, and you see all the dear souls that are in a place of increase. Lord, I declare that you are the God of who you say your are, and you are not a man that you should lie, that we can stand on your word and every promise that you have for us. I declare that you are the God who sees and you are the God of increase, and that you are the God that will meet our every need according to our faith. So I am believing for each one here today, that you are opening doors for a better job, a promotion, a better wardrobe, one that fits properly. I am believing for a new vehicle and a vehicle for those who are in need. Lord, I am believing for a bigger home for each soul that is need of one to meet their families need, in the Mighty name of Jesus, I declare that before this year is out we will see great changes in our lives, and I thank you in advance for it, in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
Be blessed, and pass the blessings on so that others will be blessed. Thank you for passing this message on to others, so that they may be blessed from God's word.
