Trust in the Lord With all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the right way. Never let yourself think that you are wiser than you are, simply obey the Lord and refuse to do wrong. Proverbs 3:5-7 GNT

Good Morning Girlfriends:

My husband and I had moved into the old family homestead where he had grown up as a child, with his father still living there, we were welcomed in with open arms, as his father was up in age and needed an over seeing eye. Settling right in, talk began of the old times when my husband was a boy and many stories were told of funny pranks that he used to do as joke just get a laugh.

Not long after moving into his family home, my husband had found a job, as his father and I began to build a beautiful relationship. Five short months my husbands mother had passed away in the nursing home that she had been in, my husband had become very ill and almost died, then four months later my father in law passed away, and the family decided that it would be best to sell the family home in which we were still living in.

Now I can honestly tell you that I did not expect all of this to happen when God was the one who opened doors for me to move to a completely different province. Here I was, standing in the middle of that house, with a sick husband, a eleven year old daughter, and didn't know where we were to move to. It was at that moment that I had a choice to make, was I going to get upset with the family for deciding to sell the homestead, which it did sell and with one month to move, or was I going to trust the God who brought me there in the first place.

It was at that point I lifted my voice up to God and said, "Lord I don't know where we are going to move to but I know that You do and I'm going to trust You." I didn't know why all of this had to happen but I know that God had a purpose in it, just as His word tells us in Jeremiah 29:11, God has a plan for each of for a long life and that we should prosper. I decided to put my faith in action as I began to pack up all of our belongings, even though I did not know where we were going yet. Several people came to me with a lead of places that were for rent, and as I had checked each one out, they had turned out to be a dead end. So I continued to pack our belongings with no place in sight yet, it did not stop me from trusting and believing that God knew where we were going, it just hadn't opened up yet.

Girlfriends, that is where our key verse came into play. I didn't understand the reason why the family would decide to sell the house when we were willing to take care of it, I didn't know where we were moving to when the house sold, I didn't know when a new place would open up for us, but I knew the person who knew all of these things and He was the one I was putting my trust in to see us through to the other side of this as I continued to pack a little every day. In my eyes time was running out, but one last door was opened up to me between two places, a beautiful large spacious home with beautiful landscape and a cute little cottage style home that was cozy and would be very easy to take care of with wonderful wood heat.

The smaller home was just what we needed for the time that we would spend there, I felt would be a short time, I just seemed to feel that way. Low and behold I was right, because God had opened the doors a short eight months later to return to my home that I had left when I had moved.

We can go through times in our life that things are unsure and we don't know how they are going to turn out, but when we look upwards to the one that knows everything, that is when we are putting our faith and trust in Him, knowing that He is the one that will see us through. It can be a little scary at times, yes, but He is the one that gives us the courage to keep moving forward as we put our faith in action, that God knows the plan and plans that He has for us, we just have to just keep moving forward as we trust Him.

Here are just a few scriptures on trust to help you in your situations: Prov. 3:5-7, Psalm 33:20, Psalm 37:4-5, Isaiah 26:3, Psalm 9:10, Isaiah 12:2, Psalm 56:3, Jeremiah 17:10. God assures us in His word that His word is truth and God is a God that He does not lie, so whatever He says in His word are promises to each one of us that we can hold onto to take us through any situation that we face.

Let's Pray,

Father God, I praise You mighty father that Your word alone is the living truth in which we can stand upon to take us through every and any situation that we face. Lord when things don't turn out in the way we thought they would, Lord help us to stay confident in You, that You know all things and You saw what happens to us and if we keep our focus on You and not our situation that Your promise to us is that You will bring us through. It may not be what we thought or what we imagined it to be, but we know that You have the best plan for our lives and we thank You in advance in the mighty name of Jesus that everything is already worked out for us, Amen.

Be blessed dear ones and pass the blessings on.
