Listen to this wise advice; follow it closely, for it will do you good, and you can pass it on to others: Trust In The Lord. In the past, haven't I been right? Then believe what I am telling you now, and share it with others. Proverbs 22:17-21 The Living Bible
Good Morning Girlfriends:
Have you ever been in a situation that you knew you were moving, but you didn't know where you were moving to...let me share my experience on what happened to me and how it began a deeper and closer walk with the Lord.
It all started back in March 2010 when I had met my new soon to be father in law for the first time. Chit chatting away with one another, I was looking out the patio doors as I looked out over the bay at the beautiful view of the lobster boats that were coming in, I spoke out of my mouth in a day dreamy state, "I'm going to move here," as I began to swing around to look at my father in law to be and continued, "to look after you." That was the beginning of it all, and by the end of June I was there with my van packed to the ceiling, beginning a new journey.
Being all settled in and loving every minute of every day, each day held a new place to explore, with new people to meet, and beautiful ocean scenery to behold. Summer of 2012, my husbands brother's and sister had decided they were going to put the house on the market to sell, in which we were still living in, since their father had passed away (My father in law), the family thought it would be better to sell the house. Well, that sure came as a shock, especially when my husband had just came through surgery, had blood poisoning and was not a well man, and here we had to find a new place to live.
The packing began, but first we had a giant yard sale trying to down size some things from the house that had been there for many years, things had to go. Many things had went to charity and good will as items were moved out of the house. Every day I packed boxes without knowing my destination, All I could say was "I don't know where I'm going, but I know that you do Lord." On several occasions we would get a phone call that someone was coming to view the house, so we would go looking to see what was for rent or where there were any opening for something.
Each time I was given a piece of information about a place to rent or a rent to own, I would go check it out, but in each case it was to no avail. Again the packing continued, no place to go, again I would say, "I don't know where we are moving to, but I know that you do Lord." My spirits were up, singing as I packed knowing everything was going to work out, and we would be taken care of.
The day came, when a call had come saying that the house sold, and we still had no where to go, things were coming down to the crunch and we had until the end of September to be out. Again, each time I was given a new lead on a house, I was "Jonny on the spot" to go check it out. A friend of mine that lived up the road from me called with two prospects for us to check out, two houses were coming available, and she had asked if I wanted to take a look at them.
The very next day, we had an appointment to look at both homes, as my friend picked me up and away we went. The first home was a large three bedroom home, newly renovated with a beautiful, secluded property in which any one would fall in love with. The second home was a small two bedroom bungalow, with a warm and cozy atmosphere, wood heat and a price we could not pass up, because for some reason I had felt we would not be there for long.
Girlfriends, being in a situation like that is not the easiest one to be in, especially when the family homestead we were living in, it was our plan that we would be staying, that was my father in laws wishes, but with no will to be found, the home was to be sold and money was to be divided. All of this had happened within a three year period, the initial move from leaving my home, to finally finding the little two bedroom bungalow in which we moved into with a week of finding it. I can tell you, it was coming down to the final crunch, but God says in His word in Prov. 3:5-6, that we are to trust Him in, trust in the Lord completely; don't ever trust yourself. In everything you do, put God first, and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success, this is in the Living Bible.
When we are in a difficult situation, and it looks like the answer is not coming, that is when we have to completely lean on God and His word, putting our full trust in Him. God is not a man that He should lie, Number 23:19, 1 Cor. 1:9 says that God is ever true to His promises, and it was by Him that you were, one and all, called into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ, our Lord. God will never fail us, His word will never fail us when we stand on it. 2 Timothy 2:13 says to us that "God's covenant with us is not going to fail. His word is flawless, right, true. His promises can be fully trusted, no matter what our circumstances my be." That says it all in a nut shell, 2 Timothy wraps it all up.
Girlfriends, you may be facing a situation in which you do not know where you are going, it could be another job, it could be you are moving like I was, and you don't know where yet. I am here to tell you that you can be in rest that God our Heavenly Father is taking care of your situation, "The LORD Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." (Deut. 31:8) God led Moses and the Israelites through the desert, He will lead you. Psalm 119:105 tells us that God's word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path, He is the one who leads, guides and shines the light on where you will go. God did it for Moses, He did it for me and as I am facing the same situation again, He will guide me, so God will do the same for you as well, He is trust worthy. (2 Sam. 7:28, Psalm 9:10)
Let's Pray,
Father God, I give you praise, glory and honor this morning. Lord, you have proven yourself to be true and faithful over and over again in my life and you won't stop now. Lord, I lift up each dear soul to you today, that is faced with a situation that they are moving, but they don't know where to. Lord, whether they are need to make a move for a new job, You have already went before them and You are there with it all worked out. For each person who needs to find a new resident in which to move to, You have already went before them as well and have it all worked out. So I say to you today sweet soul, get packing, be in peace, and be reassured that God has it all worked out, He is waiting on the other side of it for you, in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Be blessed and pass the blessings on. Thank you for passing this message on in hopes that it may bless others as well.
