But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9 ESV

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Walking around in the grocery store looking for whatever was on my list, I noticed this lady and I knew she looked familiar but I couldn't quite remember how I knew her or where we had met before. Not wanting to stare at her, I continued to move closer to her as I was looking at items on the shelves, and as we made eye contact, we then began to talk and I mentioned to her that I knew that I knew her but how did I know her, and she began to explain where we had met before. This has happened to me so many times, because they were usually brief meetings with people at a special service somewhere or a summer camp meeting or just being introduced to by a friend or family member.

What is totally amazing is when a person who used to drink or was heavily addicted to substance or was an abuser of some kind, and you knew that person for who they were, but the next time you meet them somewhere and they are completely changed. Their whole demeanor, their talk has changed, the way they dress is changed, they have a cleaner appearance or a glow on their face, that is and can only be from the work of God, it totally transforms a person.

There has been so many testimonies that I've heard from people that I know and knew many years ago that have said, "I know that you knew me back thirty years ago but I'm not that same person anymore, I am changed," as their story would unfold about everything they had went through to get to where they are today.

I believe that we all have a story that we could tell about our own lives, where we've been, the pig pens that we have been in, the messy soupy places we experienced in life, everyone has a story, but that doesn't matter anymore because it is all forgiven and forgotten by God. Now the important thing is to know who you are in God, who does God say that you are...let me share some scriptures with you.

Galatians 3:26 says, "For in Christ you are all sons of God, through faith."

John 1:12 Says, "But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."

Genesis 1:27 says, that we are created in the image of God, male and female.

1 Peter 2:9 says that we are a chosen race, a royal priesthood.

Psalm 139:13-14, God says we are fearfully and wonderfully made, we were knitted together in our mother's womb.

Romans 5:8 let's us know that while we were even living in sin He loves us.

John 15:15 tells us that we are no longer servants but that we are friends of God.

Ephesians 1:7 tells us that we are forgiven.

Ephesians 1:3 says we are blessed.

John 3:16, Galatians 2:20 says that we are loved.

Romans 6:6 says that we are no longer enslaved to sin, we are set free.

2 Cor. 5:17 says we are a new creation.

Isaiah 53:5 tells us that we are healed.

Psalm 18:32 says I am strong.

1 John 2:12 says I am forgiven.

Ephesians 1:5 says I am adopted.

Colossians 2:10 say I am made whole.

Isaiah 43:1 says I am His.

Cor. 15:57 says I am victorious.

Esther 4:14 says I was created with purpose

2 Tim. 1:7 says I am powerful, loved, and have a sound mind.

John 3:16 says I am worth it.

Girlfriends, any time the enemy tries to whisper words of negativity into you ear trying to discourage you and telling what you are, turn right around and kick those negative words right out of your head and speak right out the words that God says you are, and tell the devil that he's a liar and he's defeated, and also that he has no power and no say over you, give him a good kick in the pants so to say.

Always remember that God loves us and we are enough, that is why He died for us, each and everyone of us, He sees not one person any different from the other no matter what our background is or what we have done in our past. God sees us for who we are, Amen!

Father God, I thank you Lord that You love each and every one of us and that You call us blessed. Lord I lift up that one who is weary and low, broken down and discouraged, I take authority over that "stinkin thinkin," in Jesus name and say that you are worthy, more than enough, you are loved, blessed, delivered and set free from all of those things that you once believed about yourself. From now on you will only speak out what God says about you, and who He says that you are. We give the devil his eviction noticed and send him packing back to the pit of hell in the Mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Be blessed sweet people and pass the blessings on. Remind other who God says they are.
