"And besides, what's the use of worrying? What good does it do? Will it add a single day to your life? Of course not!" Luke 12:25 The Living Bible
Good Morning Girlfriends:
The phone calls began, setting up conference calls with one school principal, then another school principal as we tried to get the best school plan in place for my granddaughter as she was moving from one school to another. Appointments had to be put in place to receive all school information from one school, to be placed in the hands of the new school that she would attending. I was on the phone for many days, as My granddaughter paced up and down the hall, mumbling that she didn't want to be a parent, because of all the hassle they had to go through and trying to keep it all straight.
During all of that hustle and bustle of getting my granddaughter settled into a new school, we were also in the process of applying for a new job in our area, only to be rear ended by another vehicle, and only being two minutes away. I had to keep myself calm, mostly for my granddaughter's sake, as information was passed back and forth, calls were made, and being only a couple minutes late for her job interview, what else could we do.
Our scripture in Luke 12:25 says to us what will worrying do in any situation, will it add a single hour to our life? By worrying how will it help in any way make our prodigals come come, the marriage be restored, the phone calls or the meeting go well, our children staying safe, the man on the roof doing repair work, the power outage from a storm, how will it help?
Girlfriends, if we worry is it going to help that situation get any better? Sometimes we are like that dog who has buried the bone in the backyard, he digs it back up and gnaws on it for a bit, then buries it again. There are times we tell God that we are not going to worry about our situation and then a little later we find ourselves right back to that same place. When we worry it may feel like we are in control but in actuality we are being deceived by a distraction so that we do not totally give it over to God, the one who can make things happen in that situation.
Let these scriptures bring comfort to your soul, where Jesus tells us we were never meant to carry these burdens, this is His sweet and loving way to tell us it is all on Him, not us. Matthew 11:28-30, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden." Psalm 55:22 "Cast your burdens on the Lord and He will sustain you." Galatians 6:2 says, "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." He is telling us that it is not up to us, that is the reason why He went to the cross, that His grace and mercy He showed for us when He said it is finished, He did it all, He paid the price for us.
Wow, doesn't that take a load off of your shoulders, to know that Jesus did all the work so that we would not have to. He carried the burdens so that we would not have to, isn't that a relief to know that someone else is taking care of things. We no longer have to fret and cry or chew our nails over any situation that comes our way. It is written in God's word that He takes care of the little sparrows, then how much more will He take care of us. (Matt. 10:31)
My granddaughter had let me know that she was relieved that I was taking care of everything and she didn't know how I had kept it all together. I wasn't long letting her know that it was the peace of God that was working on the inside of me that gave me a peace and reassurance that everything would be just fine. We were able to get my granddaughter swiftly moved to her new school, she was hired at her new job and the paperwork had came through from the insurance company to have the bumper fixed on my vehicle, so how amazing is that! God is so good and He truly is a faithful God, so why waste one moment by worrying about a situation, when we can just give it right over to the one who can fix it because He has it all under control. It is all a choice, which is very freeing, so that we can raise our hands in worship, to the one who is taking care of things. When we choose to let go and let God, that is where the freedom comes in and it enables us to worship our God all the more for who He truly is, Amen?
Let's Pray,
Precious Jesus, I worship You and I thank You for who You are. You are the One and true living God. Lord, let each one today, that has been carrying a heavy load, let them release their worries over to You, so that they can be free to worship You, as they finally realize that You are the One that can get everything done, that You do all things well. Let there be a peace that comes upon them right now in Jesus name, as they lift their hands towards heaven in thanks and praise, as they are trusting that You are working it all out on their behalf, and we thank You Lord, in advance, in the mighty name of Jesus, we declare that it is finished in Jesus name, Amen.
Be blessed, and pass the blessings on, as I pray that you pass this message on to others.
