Then Deborah said to Barak, "Now is the time for action! The Lord leads on! He has already delivered Sisera into your hand!" So Barak led his ten thousand men down the slopes of Mount Tabor into battle. Judges 4:14 The Living Bible

Good Morning Girlfriends:

What a glorious day, the sun is shining, the birds are singing and we are breathing, what a day to be alive. I hope every mother had a wonderful "Mother's Day" in some way, even if you ended up spending it alone, I'm sure you made the most of it reminiscing over all the beautiful memories that you have, like I did. What would the world be like without mothers, they are so needed more than we realize at times. Let's take a look at just a few of the mother's that are recorded in the Bible.

Deborah was a leader in her time, after the Israelis had lived twenty long unbearable years under the commander-in-chief of the army of Sisera, they cried out to God for help, and that is when He sent Deborah as she led the people back to God. Deborah was known as the wife of Lappidoth, she was a mother, and she was a prophetess for the Lord. Deborah was known as a "Judge," where she would hold court at a place that is now called "Deborah's Palm Tree," between Ramah and Bethel, in the hill of the country of Ephraim. This is the place where the Israelites would come to her to decide their disputes.

Later on it was stated that Deborah had summoned Barak who lived in Kadesh, telling him that the Lord commanded him to take ten thousand men from the tribes of Naphtali and Zebulun and lead them to Mount Tabor to fight King Jabin's army. Deborah continued to tell Barak that the Lord would lead them to the Kishon River, and would defeat the army. Barak told Deborah that he would go, but only if she would go with him and she had agreed. She was quick to let him know that she, being a woman would get the credit for leading them instead of Barak himself. Barak knew that Deborah was a strong leader and that she heard from the Lord, that is why he wanted her on his side to help lead them into victory.

God had used little Esther to go forth to approach the king, as she requested that the king and Haman would join her in a banquet that she had prepared for them. Back in this day, this was not heard of, it was not allowed for a woman to approach the king for any reason. Agreeing to her request, both the king and Haman joined her at the banquet as it was unfolded to the king of Haman's plot against the Jewish people. God had used Esther, who was the kings, queen, to expose the plan of Haman, that he wanted all of the Jews killed, which in turn was Esther's people, but also God's people. Could you imagine living back in these days, and being put out on the frontlines as a woman.

One more very important mother in the Bible was Mary, the mother of Jesus. Mary had such an important role and job to carry out, for she was carrying and would be bringing forth the Messiah of the world. Mary was known to be a pure and holy woman, with a gentle spirit, that is why God had chosen her to bring forth our Lord and Savior. Mary had to care for and tend to Jesus as He was born and grew, she was His teacher and protector as His mother. As Jesus grew and was being taught by God Himself, Mary then was learning from her son. When Jesus was crucified, His mother had never left Him, she was with Him through it all, that is what a mother does for her children. Later on, Mary had become a mother or a "mother figure" to many.

Girlfriends, what is God calling you to do, what has He been speaking to you to start? Has He been speaking to you to venture out in a new direction to try something new, maybe a career, maybe a creating your own business from ideas that He has been speaking to you about. Maybe God has been speaking to you about expanding on what you are already doing, the options are endless when it comes to God. God maybe opening up doors to put you in a position of leadership in a place that He knows you have something to offer there.

Whatever it is girlfriends, the question is, will you be that woman who will say yes to God, Lord here I am send me (Isaiah 6:8). God is looking for willing volunteers in His service, are you that one, has He been speaking to you? Look at how many mother's that are the ones who take their children to church, or teach them at home the things of the Lord. Look at all of the women teachers out there, whether it is in the school system, the daycare system, the Sunday School classes, and now look at all of the women that God is using to lead His people as a Minister in the church. God is looking for a vessel that is clean, for a person who is open to His call, His voice and is willing to go and do. Who is with me and will say yes to God, that is me!

Let's Pray,

Father God, I thank You for Your grace and Your mercy and Your great love that You show to us every day. Lord, I thank You that You do not see us as men and women, You see us as a willing vessel who is willing to be used. Lord, for every person that says no to Your calling there are many more who will say "yes" as You raise them up for that appointed time in their life. Lord, I pray that each one that says 'Yes" to You, that You would use them in a mighty way, as You download revelation after revelation into them. I thank You Lord, for all of the new ideas that You are giving Your people that will be used for building Your kingdom. I praise You Lord, and all the glory belongs to You in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Be blessed dear ones and pass the blessings on to others as you pass this message on. We never know who will be the next one who will say "Yes!"
