You Are My Treasure

For you are a people holy to the LORD your God, and the LORD has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. Deut. 14:2 ESV

Good Morning Girlfriends:

When my children were little, my little girls would be dressed in the cutest pretty frilly dresses, with a matching headband or a barrette of some kind, while my son would be dressed in little corduroy pants, a plaid shirt and his cute little mickey mouse suspenders that he loved to wear with everything. There would be days when I would try to dress each of us, all in a matching color of some kind, trying to make life fun in a simple way.

Having two families, so to say, there were three children who grew up close together, then nine an half years later two more little girls came along back to back to make life a little more fun. Frilly dresses were a part of the daily dressing with these two girls as well, with matching bows, when the youngest would leave it in her hair which wasn't very often. The girls looked up to their older siblings, as they were now teenagers, it made life a little easier for me with older children in the house to lend a hand whenever needed.

My family, my children were my everything and still are. I loved on them the best that I could, spending lots of time outside playing with them, going on little adventures, there were many days playing "Barbies" was a must or reading books out on a blanket under a tree in the backyard.

Girlfriends, I don't know about you, but I know my children, all grown up as they are, they are still my sweetest treasures and then comes the grandchildren as well, what sweet joy it is and precious blessings each and every one of them are. When God had made man and woman, in Gen. 1:28, He then blessed them and told them to go forth, be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, God is all about family.

God's precious word is the deepest treasure of all, it is filled with rich revelations to behold. As one reads and studies through the pages, becomes more alive each time it is read, so many wonders to behold. Wisdom and knowledge is a treasure that is hidden on the inside of us and how do we get that wisdom and knowledge, it's be getting into the Word of God each day, learning more and more about who God really is to us, all the things that He has already done for us, and what is ours for the taking and receiving.

Matthew 6:21 says to us, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Like our key verse says, God has chosen us, each one of us to be His treasured possession. He sees us as His treasure, why, because He created us. Why do you think that the enemy works so hard to tear the family unit apart, because it was the family unit that God created for relationship, God loves relationship, He loves family. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we then become the family of God, children of God. (John 1:12)

Again, like it says in our key verse girlfriends, God has chosen us to be His treasured possession, but there is still a question to be answered for some, have you chosen God? Have you chosen Him to be your Lord and Savior, the God who created everything, have you made Him your everything? Is the Lord God Almighty everything that you think about, do you think about when you leave this earth, do you think about seeing Jesus face to face on that glorious day, is that your main focus? If you have not made that decision as of yet, then today is your lucky day, so to say, to make Him your special treasure, so that you to can say that you are a part of the family of God, Amen?

Precious Jesus, You are the one and only God who laid down your life for us, so that we could have a deep relationship with you and for that we will be forever grateful. Lord I lift up that dear sweet soul who has been holding off for whatever reason. Lord I'm asking that you would meet them in their quiet place right now where they are at, as you come in so ever gently as they feel your loving presence. Lord touch that person in a special way that only could come from you, the Heavenly Father in Jesus name I pray. Let their testimony be wonderful praises of what you did for them in this very moment in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
