For I know the plans I have for you, 'declares the LORD," plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Back in 1971 the first commercial came out by Loreal Paris for hair color, their slogan stated that "You're Worth It." It was a more expensive product on the market and the women were portraying that their hair was important to be treated well, so they were worth it to be using a better product.

Over the years we have seen so many products hit the market to sell that get women to buy that leads us to believe this hair product will make your hair shinier, healthier, or this mascara will give you lashes that will get their attention. How about this and that cream that will give your skin back its elasticity, make you younger looking, or this curling wand that will give you the curls you've always wanted, it just never ends.

Girlfriends, when you stand in front of the mirror what do you see? Don't just look at your outward appearance but the inner as well, do you love yourself? This has been a battle going on for years, and whether you know it or not the enemy has been whispering lies into our ears telling us we are not good enough, we will never measure up, we are not pretty enough, thin enough, strong enough, worthy enough. These are all lies that the devil has been whispering for years into the ears of people so long that in time we tend to start believing this lie.

Those lies will continue to become bigger as he whispers look at what you have done, you keep putting your co-worker down spreading rumors, you can't stop drinking you like it too much, what do you mean he loves you, you're not worth his time, or how can God really love you look at what you have done in your past, he is good at throwing all of these things in your face. But we need to tell the devil to shut up and say it is written, "That God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten so that who ever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life."

Girlfriends, we need to remember this when we fall, when we make a mistake, when we may say the wrong things, when we are having a bad day, when we just had an argument with a child or spouse, when we slip and mess up, that God loves us so much and that is why He sent His son Jesus to die on the cross for each and every one of us, because He says "We Are Worth It!" God knows we are going to make mistakes and mess up, but He thinks we were worth dying for so He could have a relationship with us. Do we not think our children are worth giving a great big birthday party for when they turn sixteen, because we love them.

God say that each one of us is worth it so that He molded each of us differently. Psalm 139:13-18 says He formed our inward parts, He knitted each of us in our mother's womb, we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Gen. 1:31 says when God saw everything He made, He said it was good. God thinks that we are worth it to raise us up to sit in heavenly places with Him. (Ephes. 2:6) We are worth something to God that He tells each of us who is weary and heavy burdened to come to Him and He will give us rest, (Matt.11:28-30) God has big shoulders for us to lay our head on and a big lap for us to sit on.

When we mess up and fail Him at times, let's remember that He still says we are worth it because He always forgives. So the next time you are looking in the mirror and those thoughts of past mistakes, recent mistakes, the age marks and wrinkles that are on your face, always remember that no matter what God says, "YOU ARE WORTH IT!" That is why He died for you, He loves You that much.

Let's Pray,

Father God, I praise You this morning for Your goodness and who You are. Lord, I thank You that You sent Your Son to die on the cross for us because You say we are worth it. Lord, I lift up those today who have been listening to the lies of the devil who says they are not worth it because of all the things that they have done, I say devil you are a liar and it is written that God loves the world that He died for us to have relationship with us and it is written that He forgives us of our sins. Lord I pray that You would visit each one personally and let them feel the warmth of Your unconditional love that they would believe that You love them no matter of their past in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Be blessed and pass the blessings on.
