Just as the mountains surround and protect Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds and protects His people. Psalms 125:2 The Living Bible

Good Morning Girlfriends:

Today let's open up this message with giving our Lord God praise for giving us another day, it's another day to be thankful as we are coming into our Thanksgiving season here in Canada. Lord, we lift up your holy name and give you praise for this glorious foggy, mild day.

I don't know what kind of a day it was for King Jehoshaphat, but it must have been a dreary day especially when he found out that there were other armies coming to attack him and his people. King Jehoshaphat was a smart man, he went to the Lord first thing to ask Him what he should do with this huge army that coming. He knew that his army was not big enough to be able to take on three armies combined. The king asked all of Judah to go without eating as they all came together in prayer for this situation.

King Jehoshaphat stood up in front of the people and began to declare who God was to them and that they would serve the Lord no matter what came their way. He reminded God of all the things that He had done for them and how He had brought the people out of Egypt and how God had given them the land that now this army was going to try to drive them out of. As they stood together as a group, they were looking to God for help as they called out.

As they were standing there, the spirit of the Lord came upon a man by the name of Jahaziel, as he asked the people to listen to what the Lord God had to say. He spoke, "Do not be afraid and do not lose hope because of this huge army. The battle is not yours, it is God's." The Lord continued to tell them what to do and where to march to find this huge army, He continued to say to take their positions, stand firm, not to fear, they would not have to fight and God would be with them.

After hearing from the Lord, each one bowed down to the ground and worshipped God, then they stood and praised Him with loud voices for what He was about to do for them. (Thanking God in advance) The next morning, King Jehoshaphat told the people to have faith in the Lord their God, that He would take good care of them, have faith in His prophets and they would have success. The king had men marching out in front praising the Lord of is holiness and glory, giving thanks to the Lord in songs of praise. The Lord spoke for the men to wait, as the other armies began turning on one another and fought each other until all of them were dead.

Girlfriends, since we know that God is the same God yesterday, today and forever (Heb. 13:8), that He never changes, we can be assured that what He did for King Jehoshaphat and his people, He will do for us in any and every situation. The king was facing a mighty battle with several armies coming against him all at once, and he knew that his army was not big enough to fight against all of them, so what did he do first thing, He went to the Lord.

The next thing that he did, because he was facing such a battle, he had others come together with him to fast and pray, as they waited for the lord to speak. Then the group began to praise God for who he was to them, thanking God for all that He had done for them in the past. When God spoke to them saying that the battle was His and the victory was theirs, and not to fear for He would be with them all the way to the end of it. When we are facing a battle that looks too big, because there are enemies coming at us at all sides, God wants us not to fear as He would have us to know that if we stand on His word and His promises, that no matter what it looks like, how big the problem is, how many people or things are coming at us, if we hold our ground by standing on His word, thank and praise Him ahead of time, He will fight the battle for us.

For me, I have seen this happen over and over again. It doesn't mean that the situation might be a little scary for what it looks like, but I am saying that when we take our position in the Lord, and declare His word out, as we thank and praise Him for what He is about to do, we are doing this in faith believing that it will be done, and God will bring us through it.

Girlfriends, if you are facing a job promotion and you know you are qualified for the spot, but there are others who have applied, stand on God's word and thank and praise Him ahead of time and watch it happen for you to receive it. You may be one that is coming out of a not so good relationship, God will bring you all the way out of it as you surrender your praises up to the Lord, and thank Him for what He is doing and where He is taking you for the next chapter of your life. You may be facing the battle of an illness and the doctors may be saying that they don't know what to do for you, but if you take your position and stand on God's word and His promises that, that illness is not your portion and what Jesus did on the cross for you, the stripes He took was for you. You are already healed in Jesus name, because of those stripes He took, declare His word that you are already healed and send the enemy packing in the Mighty name of Jesus. The battle is never ours, but it is always the Lords and we will always be on the winning side, Amen.

Let's Pray,

Father God, I thank you for another glorious day to worship and praise you for you are holy and you alone are worthy. Lord, we give you glory today for fighting every battle that we face, as we sing songs of praise to you and thank you in advance for what you are doing and for bringing us through the battle in the Mighty name of Jesus. There is no God like you and we glorify and magnify you in Jesus name, Amen.

Be blessed sweet girlfriends and pass the blessings on. Thank you in advance for passing this message on, and remember whatever battle you face, the battle is the Lords and the victory is yours.
